Bossy Miss Bliss – A post-race veterinary examination revealed a spike wound to the left carpus with no stand down issued.

 

Lady Crackin’ – Slow to begin. Checked racing off the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed abrasions to the webbing on both hind feet. No stand down was issued.

 

Race 2 - ROCKHAMPTON MAIDEN 1000 HEAT 2 MAIDEN 407m

Race 3 - GARRARD'S HORSE AND HOUND NOVICE 407m

Race 5 - NEWSXPRESS RICHARDSON ROAD 0-4 WINS 510m

 

Kajal Rani – Checked around the first turn. Appeared to faulter in its action in the back and commenced to lose ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed split webbing to both hind pads, however no stand down was issued.

 

Race 6 - DIPLOCK'S COLLISION REPAIR CENTRE BEST 8 407m

 

Enrique Fernando – Checked around the first turn. Checked racing into the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed abrasions to the webbing on both hind feet, however no stand down was issued.

 

Race 7 - WENDY MULRY TRAVEL MIXED 3/4 407m

 

Burnt Me – Severely checked on the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

 

Winlock All Over – A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. When questioned regarding the performance trainers representative J Belford advised that they greyhound has not previously travelled significant distances to compete, and this may have impacted the performance.

 

Race 8 - ROCKY FEED AND SEED GRADE 4 407m

Race 10 - GARRARD'S HORSE AND HOUND MIXED 4/5 407m

 

Italian Steal – A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Stewards inquired into the actions of the greyhound in the home straight the outward movement in the home straight towards Edgewood. After viewing the available replays, acting on their observations and considering submissions made by trainer K Read, stewards were satisfied that Italian Steal had failed to pursue the lure keenly throughout by turning its head outwards in the home straight and shifting wider towards Edgewood. Under GAR 124 Italian Steal was stood down for 28 days at Rockhampton and until the completion of a satisfactory trial for a first offence.

 

Race 11 - SKY RACING GRADE 5 (2) 407m

Race 12 - NEWSXPRESS RICHARDSON ROAD GRADE 5 (3) 407m

 

Hooked On In – Checked around the first turn. Checked racing off the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the right wrist with a stand down period of 28 days and a satisfactory vet clearance trial issued.
