Velocity Cazau – A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards inquired into the actions of the greyhound in the home straight, in particular the outward movement towards Velocity Nora. Considering the available replays, submissions from trainer P Boon’s representative, P Sear, and acting on their own observations, stewards were satisfied that Velocity Cazau had marred the running of Velocity Nora in the home straight by shifting outwards, turning its head and making muzzle contact with that runner. Under GAR123, Velocity Cazau was stood down for 28 days at Rockhampton and a satisfactory stewards trial for a first offence. |
