Race 1 - GARRARD'S HORSE AND HOUND MAIDEN 407m

Race 2 – TAB NOVICE 407m

Sweet Zandra – Trainer D Beckett advised that he attributed the improved performance this evening to the greyhound having derived benefit from its most recent start seven days prior and drawing a favourable inside box in a small field.

Race 3 - SKY RACING NOV/M 510m

William Bale – Shifted wider around the first turn. Shifted outwards rounding the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Stewards inquired into the greyhound’s actions on the first turn and rounding the home turn. After considering submission from trainer J Thompson, viewing the replays and acting on their own observations, stewards were satisfied that on the first turn William Bale turned its head and shifted wider towards Yogi’s Menace and on the home turn turned it’s head and shifted out towards Eagleburger, making head or muzzle contact with that runner. Stewards enacted the provisions of GAR123 for marring for a first offence, (one prior offence for failing to pursue) and as a result the greyhound was stood down for 28 days at all tracks and until the completion of a satisfactory trial.

Eagleburger – Checked soon after the start. Checked on the first turn. Hampered and lost ground rounding the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

Race 4 - WENDY MULRY TRAVEL BEST 8 407m

Tuta Storm – (Beaten second favourite 8^th) Checked around the first turn. Checked racing into the back straight. Checked racing off the back straight.

Race 9 - WENDY MULRY TRAVEL GRADE 5 (1) 407m

Shirin – (Beaten favourite 5^th) Fraction slow to begin. Checked around the first turn.

Race 10 - GARRARD'S HORSE AND HOUND GRADE 5 (2) 407m

Cyndie’s Hope – Appeared to shorten stride briefly immediately prior to the winning post. After hearing submissions from trainer K Boody, considering the available replays and acting on their own observations, stewards elected to issue a warning against the greyhounds racing manners. In assessing the matter stewards considered that any easing of the greyhound was marginal, occurred for approximately one stride and was in close proximity to the finish line.

Race 11 – TAB GRADE 5 (2) 407m

Race 12 - SKY RACING MA5 407m

A post-race veterinary examination revealed a right wrist sprain and a muscle strain in the right hind leg and a 10 day stand down was issued.
