Race 1 - GARRARD'S HORSE AND HOUND MAIDEN 407m

 

Eagleburger – Checked noticeably around the first turn. Gave ground over the final 150m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed lumbar soreness and a 10 day stand down was issued.

 

Monaco Diesel – Checked noticeably around the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a left hind muscle strain and a 10 day stand down was issued.

 

Race 2 - TAB NOVICE 407m

 

More Energy – Checked soon after the start. Checked in the back straight. Dragged down from behind racing off the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

 

Race 3 - SKY RACING GRADE 5 (1) 407m

 

Bess Houdini – Slow to begin. Checked on the first turn. Checked noticeably racing into the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a left hind tendon injury and a 60 day stand down was issued and a veterinary clearance trial is required. This matter will be referred to the Racing Injury Review Panel.

 

Race 4 - WENDY MULRY TRAVEL 0-4 WINS (1) 510m

 

No matters of concern to stewards.

 

Race 5 - DINKY DI WEB DESIGN 0-4 WINS (2) 510m

 

Prior to all clear stewards viewed the available replays in relation to the lure approaching the finish line where it was slowed down marginally due to three fallen runners being secured on the outside of the track. Stewards were satisfied that this incident had no bearing on the outcome of the race and all clear was subsequently given.

 

Princess Azara – Appeared to hit the rail approaching the first turn. Severely checked and fell on the first turn and took no further part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the left foreleg and a 14 day stand down was issued.

 

Burrum Betty – Severely checked and made heavy contact with the outside fence around the first turn and took no further part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed lumbar muscle soreness and a 10 day stand down was issued.

 

Yogi’s Menace – Severely checked around the first turn and took no further part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

 

Race 6 - NEWSXPRESS RICHARDSON ROAD BEST 8 407m

 

No matters of concern to stewards.

 

Race 7 - CHRISTMAS GIFT FINAL MIXED 4/5 407m

 

Packham Prince – (Beaten favourite 5th) Severely checked in the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed slight bruising to the right hind leg with no stand down issued.

 

Race 8 - CHRISTMAS CUP FINAL OPEN 510m

 

No matters of concern to stewards.

 

Race 9 - DIPLOCK'S COLLISION REPAIR CENTRE GRADE 4 (1) 407m

 

Counterpunch – (Beaten favourite 7th) Checked around the first turn. Checked and dragged down behind in the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed carpal sprains to both front wrists and a 10 day stand down was issued.

 

Velocity Nora – Appeared to falter racing off the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed two dislocated toes on the right hind foot and a 14 day stand down was issued.

 

Race 10 - ROCKY FEED AND SEED GRADE 4 (2) 407m

 

Candyman – Slow to begin. Checked racing off the back straight. Checked approaching the home turn.

 

Race 11 - WENDY MULRY TRAVEL GRADE 5 (2) 407m

 

Grande Bahama – (Beaten favourite 3rd) Checked around the first turn.

 

Race 12 - GARRARD'S HORSE AND HOUND MA5 407m

 

Burned – Checked around the first turn. Checked in the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed abrasions to the left hind leg with no stand down issued.
