Last Date – Checked soon after the start. Appeared to ease racing to the catching pen on the first occasion and then trailed the field thereafter. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed general muscle soreness and a 10 day stand down was issued. Stewards inquired into the greyhounds actions at the catching pen on the first occasion and after considering submissions from trainer A Svensen, viewing the replays and acting on their own observations, stewards were satisfied that the greyhound had eased at that point of the race and under GAR125, for failing to pursue by way of injury Last Date was stood down for the 10 day veterinary imposed period and until the completion of a satisfactory trial. |

Fabulous Carter – Slow to begin. Checked noticeably racing off the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed general muscle soreness across the back and a 10 day stand down was issued.
Blue Zeal – Checked and dragged down behind approaching the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
Candyman – Slow to begin. Checked on the first turn. Checked racing off the back straight. Checked off heels approaching the home turn. |
