Underestimated – Checked around the first turn. Checked racing off the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards inquired into the greyhound’s actions close to the finish where Underestimated eased quickly. After considering their own observations, the available replays and submission from trainer J Thompson, stewards were satisfied that Underestimated had failed to pursue the lure with due commitment by easing prior to the finish and under GAR124 the greyhound was stood down for 28 days and must complete a satisfactory trial for a first offence. |
