Stewards inquired into the reasons for the catcher for Tagovailoa failing to be in the catching pen prior to the commencement of the race. After considering submissions from A Boody, acting on behalf of trainer K Boody, and Ms T Boody, who was engaged to catch the greyhound stewards established that Ms T Boody was sidetracked and as a result late to the catching pen. Ms T Boody was reminded of her obligation to ensure she is in the catching pen at the appropriate time for future reference. In determining this outcome stewards were mindful that the late arrival of Ms T Boody to the catching pen had very little impact on her greyhound or any other runners being caught post-race and her forthright admissions. |

Gilded – Trainer N Jackson was queried in relation to the apparent improved performance of the greyhound by comparison to its most recent two starts. Mr Jackson stated that the greyhound had suffered noticeable interference at its two most recent starts and this evening was able to utilise a good start and a trouble-free run when leading. The trainer also advised that he was of the view that a 14-day break between races was also of some benefit.
