Race 2 - DINKY DI WEB DESIGN 4/5 GRADE SEMI-FINAL 1 MIXED 4/5 407m

Nakisha – Checked in the back straight and then shifted out bumping heavily with He’s Clegane. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a strain to the right hip support and a 10 day stand down was issued.

He’s Clegane – Checked around the first turn. Bumped heavily and checked in the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a laceration to the left hind leg and a 10 day stand down was issued.

Race 5 - DYNAMIC ELECTRICAL ROCKHAMPTON CUP (G2) HEAT 1 OPEN 510m

Hot Tyson – Gave ground noticeably over the final 250m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Trainer P O’Reilly explained when questioned, that the greyhound is better suited to shorter distances and his intention is to drop back in distance for future starts to improve the overall fitness level of Hot Tyson.

Here Wolfe – Severely checked and fell racing into the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a lumbar back strain and a 10 day stand down was issued.

Race 6 - DYNAMIC ELECTRICAL ROCKHAMPTON CUP (G2) HEAT 2 OPEN 510m

Samurai Mind – Bumped and checked soon after the start. Checked noticeably around the first turn before finishing strongly into third place.

Race 7 - DYNAMIC ELECTRICAL ROCKHAMPTON CUP (G2) HEAT 3 OPEN 510m

Guernsey King – Checked racing into the back straight and lost touch with the main body of the field over the final 200m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Trainer Pomerenke explained that in his view, once the greyhound was checked it lost all momentum which attributed to the poor performance.
