Race meeting was abandoned after Race 2 due to continued power failure of the lure. |

Race 1 -DYNAMIC ELECTRICAL MAIDEN 407m |

The start of this race was delayed due to the lure losing power during the run up. All greyhounds were removed from the starting boxes and underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and cleared to start. Remedial works were conducted and the power issue for the lure was rectified.
No racing incidents of concern to stewards. |

Race 2 -DINKY DI WEB DESIGN NOVICE 407m |

Vanilla Slice – Dragged down and checked leaving the back straight. Checked noticeably after the finish line. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Stewards inquired into the greyhound’s actions during the home straight. Considering submissions made by the trainer’s representative Ms A Boody, the available replays and steward’s own observations, stewards invoked the previsions of GAR124 and for a first offence for failing to pursue the lure with due commitment, Vanilla Slice was stood down from racing for 28 days at Rockhampton and a satisfactory trial.

The start of this race was delayed due to the lure losing power during the run up. All greyhounds were removed from the starting boxes and underwent a veterinary examination and cleared to start. All greyhound were then ordered to return to the kennel block. In consultation with the club all races were put back one race to allow the remedial work on the lure’s power supply. The lure driver was of the opinion that the fault to the power supply had been rectified. After the greyhound were again placed in the starting boxes, the lure again lost power and the race meeting was then abandoned.
