· Stewards questioned trainer Mr William Boon regarding the scratching of his runner Velocity Kirrily in race 2 on 30-05-2024 and the subsequent start of the reserve Velocity Sharri (also his dog) gained in the event. He advised that he had changed his usual process and given some of the dogs a chicken mince on the 28-05-2024 and those same dogs showed symptoms of scours, following the interview Mr Boon also showed stewards proof that he had actually scratched the greyhound at 1:30 pm on Wednesday 29-05-2024, however the greyhound wasn’t removed on OzChase until the 30-05-2024.

A post-race veterinary examination revealed offside wrist sprain and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 5 days. |

7. Burnt Me – Checked and gave ground soon after the start. A post-race veterinary examination revealed hind sub lumbar muscle & a cervico thoracic injury and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days. |

5. Black Wizard – Eased and deviated attention towards runner on the outside entering the second turn, on the second turn and then continued to deviate attention and marred another runner in the front straight. Steward’s spoke to trainer Jaunita Thompson regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 123 Marring (1st offence) – 28 days stand down at Rockhampton and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next |
