Race 2 - GREYHOUNDS MAKE GREAT PETS NOVICE (1) 407m

 

2. Velocity Jelisa – Checked and lost footing on the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

 

5. Baytown Jordy – escaped from handler while greyhounds were previewing. Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to race

 

Race 3 - TAB NOVICE (2) 407m

 

6.Add Sprinkles – Dragged down from behind on the second turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

 

Race 4 - KEN BOODY GRADE 4 407m

Race 6 - ROCKHAMPTON QGOLD HEAT 1 OPEN 510m

 

3. Spot On Fred – shifted wider and checked other runners entering the first turn.

 

6. Ring Me – Checked soon after the start. Checked and forced wider entering the first turn. Faulted in its actions and gave ground in the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed offside back muscle injury, under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down from racing for 28 days and must complete a veterinary clearance trial prior to racing next. .

 

Race 7 - ROCKHAMPTON QGOLD HEAT 2 OPEN 510m

 

 4.Composed – Beaten favourite. Gave ground in the back straight and on the second turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed exhaustion. with no standdown. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr William Boon regarding the greyhound’s performance, stating that the dog has not raced over the distance before. Stewards noted his explanation.

 

Race 8 - ROCKHAMPTON QGOLD HEAT 3 OPEN 510m

 

8.That’s Nuts – Beaten Favorite: Took an awkward stride leaving the boxes. Checked entering the first turn. Faulted in its actions in the back straight and gave ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed offside back muscle injury under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down from racing for 28 days and must complete a veterinary clearance trial prior to racing next. .
