Out The Bottle – A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards inquired into the actions of the greyhound close to the finish. After considering submissions from trainer Michael Boody, acting on their own observation and viewing the available replays stewards were satisfied that Out The Bottle had failed to pursue the lure with due commitment close to the finish by turning its head and shifting outwards towards Showtime Pompom close to the finish. As a first offence the greyhound has been stood down for 28 days and until the completion of a satisfactory trial under GAR124(1). |
