Race 1 - DYNAMIC ELECTRICAL MAIDEN 407m |

Quinlan – Checked around the first turn. Checked racing into the back straight. Checked in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
Sweet Olive – Checked approaching the home turn. Marred by another runner in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards inquired into the actions of the greyhound racing off the back straight and after considering submissions from trainer M Bube, the available replays and their own observations the provisions of GAR124(1) were invoked against Sweet Olive for failing to pursue the lure with due commitment by easing and shifting wider soon after racing out of the back straight. The greyhound has been stood down for 28 days at all tracks and until the completion of a satisfactory trial for a second offence.
Spot On Pearl – Slow to begin. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards inquired into the actions of the greyhound in the home straight and after considering submissions from trainer M Bube, the available replays and their own observations the provisions of GAR123 were invoked against Spot On Pearl for marring the running of another runner by shifting outwards, turning its head and making head or muzzle contact with Sweet Olive. The greyhound has been stood down for 28 days and until the completion of a satisfactory trial for a first offence.
Spot On Roxy – Checked racing towards the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards inquired into the actions of the greyhound in the home straight and after considering submissions from trainer J Kuhl, the available replays and their own observations the provisions of GAR124(1) were invoked against Spot On Roxy for failing to pursue the lure with due commitment by turning its head outwards noticeably for some distance in the home straight and deviating its attention away from the lure. The greyhound has been stood down for 28 days and until the completion of a satisfactory trial for a first offence. |
