Stewards concluded an inquiry into the conduct of trainer Darren Taylor following the veterinary late scratching and subsequent swabbing of the greyhound Aviator from race 3 at the Rockhampton greyhound club on Sunday the 9-03-2025. Stewards issued a reprimand to Mr Taylor under GAR 156(f)(ii) for misconduct in that he was loud and aggressive when expressing his views on situation. Mr Taylor was advised that a repetition of this type of conduct may result a harsher penalty being applied and his conduct fell below the expected standards.

Bridge Up Baby (beaten favourite) – Checked rounding the first turn, checked off heels leaving the back straight. Became unbalanced rounding the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. |

Race 4 - DYNAMIC REFRIGERATION GRADE 4 (1) 407m |
|
Pelorus – A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Stewards inquired into the actions of the greyhound in the home straight and after considering the submissions from trainer J Thompson and the available replays and the steward observation the provisions of GAR 124(1) failing to pursue by easing noticeably for approximately three strides before the finish. The greyhound has been stood down for 28 days at all tracks and until the completion of a satisfactory trial for this is the greyhounds second offence under this rule. |

Loveless – Faulted in its actions and lost ground in the back straight. A post-race veterinary revealed right back muscle strain and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days. |

Winter Bale – A post-race veterinary examination revealed a spike wound to the left hind leg and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound was stood down from racing for 5 days. |

Total Media Ban – A post-race veterinary examination revealed a right shoulder muscle injury under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound was stood down from racing for 14 days. Stewards inquired into the actions of the greyhound in the home straight and after considering the submissions from trainer H Wooler and the available replays and the stewards observations the provisions of GAR 125(1) for failing to pursue by way of injury were invoked against Total Media Ban for failing to pursue the lure with due commitment by turning its head outwards in the home straight for a number of strides. The greyhound has been stood down for 14 days at Rockhampton and until the completion of a satisfactory trial for a first offence. |

The greyhound has been stood down for 28 days at all tracks and until the completion of a satisfactory trial for this is the greyhounds second offence under this rule. |
