6 Month Trial – 380m The
greyhound CAWBOURNE HAZARD performed a satisfactory 6 month trial over the
distance of 380m in a time of 22.05 seconds and is now cleared to nominate at
all tracks. |

PINE MAIDEN 380M The start of this event was subject to a
short delay due to technical difficulties with transmission of footage to Sky
Channel. SHINEY THINGS was best to begin. INDISPENSIBLE was slowly away. Approaching the top turn JASPER ROSE lost
ground when tightened between runners. COMMANCHE which was following was also
inconvenienced. Soon after ALWAYS A
DIVA shifted in onto the running of STORM BREAKER and I’M OUTTA HERE. All 3 greyhounds were checked. I’M OUTTA HERE was wide at the home turn. |

NOVICE 380M ZOEY’S FRIEND was best to begin. BON ECHO and FARMOR BRING IT both dwelt at
the start. Soon after the start ZOEY’S
FRIEND shifted in checking the running of FAWN DRAGON. Approaching the top turn ZOEY’S FRIEND was
inconvenienced after shifting in onto the heels of I’M A GIFT. I’M A GIFT,
FARMOR BRING IT and FAWN DRAGON were all wide at the
home turn. |

KOKODA NOVICE 380M BIG
BAD BLOCKER was best to begin. RAIL
GUN dwelt at the start. Approaching
the top turn JESSICA’S MONEY shifted in checking the running of SWEET TALKIN
GAL. ROAD STAR, RAIL GUN and FERNLEE STAR which were following were also
checked. ROAD STAR and FERNLEE STAR were both wide at the home turn. The
greyhound SWEET TALKIN GAL was vetted post race and
no abnormalities were revealed. Trainer
Mr. H Hovi was advised
that a warning would be placed on the greyhound SWEET TALKIN GAL for
performance bordering on unsatisfactory. |

CORAL BALMORAL 5th GRADE 380M RAZOR ROSE was best to begin. Soon after the start MISTIFIDE shifted in
checking the running of AT THE NECK. Approaching
the top turn RAZOR ROSE shifted in checking the running of STREAKS OF GOLD
which lost ground. MR. MARAUDER and AT
THE NECK were both wide at the home turn. On straightening MISTIFIDE shifted in
checking the running of ASA EXTREME. |

KAPYONG
4th GRADE 380M MOO MOO,
COSMIC FREEZE and ASA ENSEE FLY all began well. CRUSHED ICE and CHIEF START were both
inconvenienced when tightened for running approaching the top turn. Approaching the home turn KEZZA’S SPIRIT
shifted in checking the running of CRUSHED ICE and ZIPPING CARLTON. |

ANZAC DAY TROPHY FINAL 498M ROCKET’S MAGIC and DEBORAH ROSE both
began well. VELOCITY KYZON dwelt at
the start. Through the catching pen
ROCKET’S MAGIC shifted in onto the running of PEPPA PIG CLOUD which was
checked and lost ground. SPUDNUT and
THANK YOU POP which were following were also checked. Stewards delayed the announcement of
the ALL CLEAR in order to view patrol footage of the field racing into the 1st
turn and in particular the positioning of the lure in relation to the leading
greyhound. After viewing the footage stewards were satisfied that no
greyhound had been substantially inconvenienced so as to affect the outcome
of the event and the ALL CLEAR was announced. The greyhound ROCKET’S MAGIC which
fell in the catching pen was vetted post-race and no abnormalities were
revealed. |

RWANDA -
SOMALIA 4th GRADE 380M FARMOR TO DO, PATJACK LOMAR and
KERRIE’S A MINX all began well. Approaching
the top turn KERRIE’S A MINX shifted in checking the running of PATJACK LOMAR
which lost ground. FREDRIK and MAGIC
CHAOS which were following were also checked. MAGIC CHAOS was wide at the home turn. |

TIMOR LESTE BEST 8 380M SHOT OF CAIN and PHOTO
BOOTH both began well. SNEAKIN’ ROUND
lost ground when tightened for running soon after the start. Approaching the top turn CARLYLE TYCOON
improved onto the heels of PHOTO BOOTH dragging that greyhound down from
behind. Both greyhounds were severely
checked. WHERE’S
BLOCKER was also checked in this incident. |

OPERATION
CATALYST 5th GRADE 380M JACOBITE PHANTOM lost ground
approaching the top turn when tightened between runners. ZIPPING BUBBA which was following was also
inconvenienced. ABRAHAM KEEPING,
JACOBITE PHANTOM and ZIPPING BUBBA were all wide on straightening. |

OPERATION
SLIPPER 5th GRADE 380M ZIPPER STAR and GUNNADOO COBRA were
both slowly away. Approaching the top turn BRUTON MISS shifted in severely
checking the running of FACE TIME, RUBY’S MAGIC and VELOCITY AIM. ZIPPER STAR
was wide for the majority of the event. Stewards delayed the announcement of
the ALL CLEAR in order to view patrol footage of the field racing into the 1st
turn and in particular the positioning of the lure in relation to the leading
greyhound. After viewing the footage Stewards were satisfied that no
greyhound had been substantially inconvenienced so as to affect the outcome
of the event and the ALL CLEAR was announced. |

the conclusion of the race meeting Stewards
inquired into an incident, which took place in the carpark,
involving Licensed Trainer Mr. R Thomson and
Licensed Handler Mr. R Crofft.
After hearing evidence from both
Licensees as well as Licensed Trainer Mr. M Pandelakis,
Stewards reminded Mr. Crofft
of his responsibilities under the provisions of GAR86(o). |
