ANGLISS
MEATS TOWNSVILLE MAIDEN 380M VELOCITY
HEZZA and ALWAYS A DIVA both began well. CURRIED SAUSAGE and GIVEAWAY LASS both lost
ground when tightened between runners soon after jumping. Approaching the
home turn SIR REGINALD, which had improved to the inside of ALWAYS A DIVA,
eased and shifted out onto the running of ALWAYS A DIVA and NORTHUMBERLAND
forcing those 2 greyhounds wider on the track. The
greyhound SIR REGINALD was vetted post race and no
abnormalities were detected. Stewards
advised trainer Mr. H Dodd that the greyhound SIR REGINALD would be charged
under the provisions of GAR 69A Failure to Pursue, 1st offence, 28
days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 380m all tracks. |

MOTEL NOVICE 380M JASPER ROSE was best to begin. COUGAR KEITH lost ground
when tightened between runners soon after jumping. Approaching the top turn
RUN ZAHLI shifted in checking the running of MIDNIGHT EDITION and COUGAR
KEITH. |

WEISE FAMILY RACING NOVICE 380M PERFECT
SISTER was slowly away. ABRAHAM KEEPING was inconvenienced when tightened
between runners soon after the start. ABRAHAM KEEPING and PERFECT SISTER were
both wide rounding the home turn. On straightening SWIFT BERNARD improved to
the outside of FAMOUS REBEL and soon after turned its head inwards making
muzzle contact with that greyhound on 2 occasions. The greyhound
SWIFT BERNARD which was vetted post race was found
to have sustained a nearside foreleg injury in running and was stood down for
a period of 28 days. Stewards
advised trainer Ms. R Essery that the greyhound
SWIFT BERNARD would be charged under the provisions of GAR 69 Marring, 1st
offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 380m all tracks. |

F.V. ARUNTA 5th GRADE 380M VELOCITY AIM was best to begin. Through the back straight
VELOCITY AIM shifted in checking the running of CHIEF START. RHONDA’S SEA,
RUBY’S MAGIC and MACCA MADE US which were following were also checked.
RHONDA’S SEA lost significant ground in this incident. Approaching the top
turn FARMOR BRING IT shifted out severely checking the running of RUBY’S
MAGIC and RHONDA’S SEA. At the home turn VELOCITY AIM shifted out across the
running of DIAMOND OLLIE. Both greyhounds were severely checked. |

CBD
ELECTRICAL 3/4th GRADE 498M LIBERTY LEGS was best to begin. Through the catching pen
BREMER, ASA EXTREME and ASA EL CHAPPO were all tightened for running. Leaving
the catching pen DEBORAH ROSE improved onto the heels of LIBERTY LEGS. Both
greyhounds were severely checked losing significant ground and shifting wide
on the track. ASA EL CHAPPO was wide in the back straight. Approaching the
top turn STREAKS OF GOLD shifted in checking the running of POISED TO POUNCE. The greyhound LIBERTY LEGS was vetted post-race and no
abnormalities were revealed. Trainer Mr. G Olsen undertook to notify stewards
should the greyhound display any sign of injury in coming days. |

COMPLETER TAG SOLUTIONS 5th GRADE 380M SPRING TOPAZ was best to begin. COSMIC MARLOW and
OBSTRUCTION both dwelt at the start. Through the back straight PUMA CLOUD
shifted in checking the running of TEMNICK. OBSTRUCTION which was following
was also checked. Approaching the top turn FARMOR TO DO shifted in severely
checking the running of COSMIC MARLOW which lost significant ground.
Approaching the top turn TEMNICK shifted ground wide and continued to race
wide for the remainder of the event. |

5th GRADE 380M SPRING CLOVER was slowly away. Approaching the top turn
MACADAM shifted in checking the running of MISS GRAND THEFT and SPRING
CLOVER. |

EMBROIDERY 3/4th GRADE 380M FARMOR GREENIES was best to begin.
CRUSHED ICE, TANGI MION and BIG BAD BLOCKER all lost ground when tightened
between runners soon after jumping. In the back straight ZIPPER IT MACCA lost
ground when tightened for running between FACE TIME and RAZOR ROSE. Approaching
the top turn RAZOR ROSE shifted in severely checking the running of BIG BAD
BLOCKER and CRUSHED ICE. |
