HORSE AND HOUND NOVICE 380M MCMURPHY
and JASPER ROSE both began well. Approaching
the top turn PEARSON PRIDE shifted out across the running of PERFECT SISTER
which was inconvenienced. MIDNIGHT
EDITION and PEARSON PRIDE came together soon after straightening. Both greyhounds were unbalanced. |

BURDEKIN VET SERVICES
4/5th GRADE 498M DENALI SURE AS and TEMNICK bumped heavily on jumping. TEMNICK became unbalanced and shifted out
onto the running of ARMADA which was inconvenienced. LIBERTY LEGS and CRUSHED ICE both lost
ground when tightened for running approaching the catching pen. Entering the back straight LIBERTY LEGS lost
further ground when tightened between runners. FAMOUS REBEL and CRUSHED ICE were both wide
through the back straight. FAMOUS
REBEL was checked and lost ground approaching the top turn. |

S & E ESSERY STAYERS CHALLENGE 643M BON ECHO and
TEXAN STAR both began well. HOUDINI HI
was slowly away. Approaching the 1st
turn POISED TO POUNCE shifted in severely checking the running of TEXAN STAR.
POISED TO POUNCE was also inconvenienced. Approaching the top turn CHICHI MODEL was
checked off the heels of HOUDINI HI and shifted out onto the running of
POISED TO POUNCE which was severely checked and fell taking no further
competitive part in the event. ELUSIVE
DIVA which was following was also checked. The greyhound
TEXAN STAR was vetted post race and no
abnormalities were detected. The greyhound
POISED TO POUNCE which was vetted post race was
found to have sustained a nearside foreleg injury in running and was humanely
euthanased. |

JUDGE BROS RQ MAIDEN FINAL 380M COOPER’S LESSON was the best to begin. REBELETTE was slowly away. Approaching the top turn MISS BEAST and
BUNDY GIRL were both severely checked and raced wide for the remainder of the
event. |

FRESH SEAFOODS 4/5th GRADE FINAL 380M SPRING CLOVER was slowly away. ASA ABBANDANDO, TAKE THE NIGHT, FACE TIME
and VELOCITY LAVINIA all lost ground when tightened for running in the back
straight. |

CHIEF SUPREME NQ SPRINT FINAL 380M FERVENT FEVER was best to begin. MAGIC CHAOS and MAGIC BEAU both dwelt at the
start. Soon after jumping CYCLONE
ROSIE lost ground when tightened between runners. Approaching the top turn CYCLONE ROSIE
shifted in severely checking the running of MAGIC CHAOS. Through the top turn MOO MOO
was severely checked after improving onto the heels of OSCAR TANGO. |

ANGLISS MEATS
TOWNSVILLE CUP CONSOLATION 498M SPUDNUT was best to begin. OBSTRUCTION was slowly away. SPRING BONANZA and KERRIE’S A MINX were both
tightened for running approaching the catching pen. ASA EL CHAPPO was unbalanced when buffeted
between runners leaving the catching pen. Entering the back straight SPRING BONANZA
was severely checked off the heels of KERRIE’S A MINX. Soon after KERRIE’S A MINX shifted out
checking the running of PEPPA PIG CLOUD. UPPER CLASS LAD and ASA EL CHAPPO
came together approaching the top turn. Both greyhounds were unbalanced. Through the top turn UPPER CLASS LAD was
severely checked and fell taking no further competitive part in the event. OBSTRUCTION which was following raced wide
to avoid the fallen greyhound. The greyhound UPPER CLASS LAD which was vetted post race was found to have sustained an offside hind leg
injury in running and was stood down for a period of 28 days. |

ANGLISS
MEATS TOWNSVILLE CUP FINAL 498M ROCKET’S MAGIC was best to begin.
COBBER IN MOTION and SPLIT IMAGE were both slowly away. Through the catching
pen CABARET TONIGHT lost ground when tightened between runners. Stewards viewed patrol footage of the
race, prior to the ‘all clear’ being semaphored, in regards to the position
of the lure, in particular, on the turn out of the back straight. Stewards deemed that the position of the
lure at this point had not been materially affected on the outcome of the
race and that no greyhound had been disadvantaged. Stewards ordered that the ‘all clear’ be
semaphored. |

ROUND lost ground when tightened between runners soon after jumping. FARMOR GREENIES and SNEAKIN’ ROUND were both
severely checked in the back straight. Approaching the top turn MAGIC HIGH FLY
shifted out across the running of ZIPPER IT MACCA. Both greyhounds were
checked. Soon after MAGIC FLY HIGH
lost momentum and took no further competitive part in the event. The greyhound MAGIC FLY HIGH which was vetted post race was found to have sustained an offside hind leg
injury in running and was humanely euthanased. |

PHANTOM and MACCA MADE US were both wide at the home turn. |
