RACE REPORTS

 

1.

ANGLISS MEATS TOWNSVILLE MAIDEN 380M

VELOCITY HEZZA was the best to begin.  BLAZIN’ MISCHIEF was slow to begin.  SAINT’S CHARM was tightened for racing room and lost ground in the back straight.  CHATAWAY checked off MISS BEAST and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight causing some inconvenience to VELOCITY HEZZA.  BUNDY GIRL, CHATAWAY and VELOCITY HEZZA bumped prior to turning into the front straight resulting in VELOCITY HEZZA losing considerable ground.  BUNDY GIRL shifted out entering the front straight bumping CHATAWAY causing interference to BLAZIN’ MISCHIEF.  VELOCITY HEZZA completed the race with the muzzle entangled in its mouth which may have caused some disadvantage to the greyhound.

WILLIAM THOMAS NOVICE 380M

Event start with ZIPPING JOKER marginally slow to begin.  PERFECT SISTER jumped awkwardly as the start was effected and lost ground as a result.  KNOCKA SHEEHAN, JESSICA’S MONEY and PERFECT SISTER bumped on the turn out of the back straight resulting in JESSICA’S MONEY being checked and losing ground and KNOCKA SHEEHAN being checked causing interference to RUN ZAHLI.  KNOCKA SHEEHAN checked off the heels of JESSICA’S MONEY and lost ground on the turn into the front straight.  I’M A GIFT shifted out and raced wide in the home straight causing some inconvenience to ZIPPING JOKER.  SWIFT BARNARD raced wide in the home straight.

GARY HEATH 5th GRADE 380M

Trainer R. Lound was fined $50 under the provisions of GAR 39 for presenting ZABDON VUITTON to race with a weight variation outside the requirements of the Rules of Greyhound Racing.  Subsequently ZABDON VUITTON was a late scratching from the race.

 

CHILL JILL was the best to begin.  CAPTAIN DJAY and JASPER ROSE bumped on the turn out of the back straight resulting in interference to KNOCKIN’ BLUE.  MISS LARDIE DA and SWEET TALKIN GAL raced wide in the home straight.

BUTCH RICHARDS 5th GRADE 380M

Even start.  OUR MADAM was tightened for racing room and lost ground in the back straight.  MACCA MADE US and COOPER’S LESSON bumped heavily approaching the turn out of the back straight resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced and COPPER’S LESSON losing considerable ground.  NORTHUMBERLAND checked off COOPER’S LESSON and lost ground in the back straight.  MUTLEY ON FRIDAY checked off HOLIER THAN THOU and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  COOPER’S LESSON and OUR MADAM bumped on the turn into the front straight.  NORTHUMBERLAND raced wide over the concluding stages of the race.

KAYLEN HEATH 4/5th GRADE 380M

Even start.  SPUDNUT checked across the heels of BIG BAD BLOCKER and lost ground after turning out of the back straight.  MADAGASTER and SPUDNUT raced wide in the home straight.

HAROLD & DESMA HOVI 5th GRADE 498M

THANK YOU POP was the best to begin.  DIAMOND FIESTA checked off TEMNICK and lost ground on the first turn after the start resulting in interference to GUNNADOO COBRA.  VINDICATION checked off NEVILLE ROSE and lost ground on the first turn after the start.  GUNNADOO COBRA checked across the heels of DIAMOND FIESTA entering the back straight.  KERRIE’S A MINX and NEVILLE ROSE bumped entering the home straight.  GUNNADOO COBRA raced wide in the home straight.

Even start with FROM THE TAP marginally slow to begin.  TANGI MION was tightened for racing room and lost ground shortly after the start.  FROM THE TAP checked off the heels of CABARET TONIGHT and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight resulting in interference to MADADAM, ASA ABBANDANDO, TANGI MION and FACE TIME causing the five greyhounds to lose considerable ground.

Even start.  TAKE THE NIGHT checked off VELOCITY LAVINIA and lost ground in the back straight.  MISS GRAND THEFT checked off CHIEF START and lost ground approaching the turn out of the back straight.  SCOTTIE’S GIRL checked off PA TING and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight causing interference to TAKE THE NIGHT.

Even start with SPRING CLOVER marginally slow to begin.  PRINCE OF DOOM checked off PUMA CLOUD and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight resulting in interference to RAZOR ROSE.  LIBERTY LEGS checked off SPRING CLOVER and lost ground after turning out of the back straight.  RAZOR ROSE raced wide in the home straight.
