WORD performed a satisfactory weight trial over the distance of 380m in a
time of 22.34 and at a weight of 29.7. |

1000 HEAT 1 380M SKY LARK was the best to begin. BLOCKER’S ANGEL failed to leave the boxes
as the start was effected and took no competitive part in the race. BLOCKER’S ANGEL was stood down from racing
until the completion of a satisfactory trial for an unsatisfactory performed
under the provisions of GAR 71. VELOCITY
HEZZA was tightened for racing room and lost ground in the back straight. ZIPPING DONNA checked off RHONDA’S DOT and
lost ground on the turn out of the back straight. |

MAIDEN 1000 HEAT 2 380M The start of the race was delayed 1.15
minutes due to interstate harness racing. The race was declared a “No Race” when the
leading greyhound, OILS AIN’T OILS came level with the lure resulting in that
greyhound easing off the lure. |

KEYPOWER SYSTSEMS NOVICE 380M ELITE
AND BLACK was the best to begin. GO
GWAN was slow to begin. PEARSON PRIDE
checked off INNOCENT MAN on the turn out of the back straight resulting in
PEARSON PRIDE losing ground and becoming unbalanced causing interference to
GO GWANM, ELITE AND BLACK and CHIEF BOLT.
GO GWAN shifted out on the turn into the front straight forcing RONWAY
FLAME to race wide. |

CHEPA AUTO SPARES TOWNSVILLE 5th GRADE 380M Even start with FANTASY FOX slow to begin. WILDASH DIDDY was tightened for racing room
and lost ground in the back straight. ZIPPER
IT MACCA checked off the heels of PRIM AND PRIZZY and lost ground prior to turning
into the front straight. ALWAYS A
DIVA, JACOBITE PHANTOM and FANTASY FOX bumped in the front straight. |

AUTOMATICS 5th GRADE HEAT 1 498M LIBERTY LEGS was the best to begin. PERFECT SISTER was slow to begin. CRUSHED ICE and NEVILLE ROSE bumped on the
first turn after the start. I’M A GIFT
and SAINT’S CHARM bumped on the turn into the back straight. NEVILLE ROSE was tightened for racing room
and lost ground on the turn into the back straight. I’M A GIFT was tightened for racing room
and lost considerable ground entering the back straight. I’M A GIFT continued to lose ground and
finished a distant last. A veterinary
examination of the greyhound revealed a chest muscle injury. CRUSHED ICE and SAINT’S CHARM bumped on the
turn into the front straight resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced
and losing ground. NEVILLE ROSE,
BURNER BANT and PERFECT SISTER bumped entering the front straight resulting
in the three greyhounds losing ground.
NEVILLE ROSE checked across the heels of CRUSHED ICE prior to turning
into the front straight. |

GARRARDS HORSE & HOUND 5th GRADE HEAT 2
498M Even start with THRILLA STROKE and MANHATTAN
MAID slow to begin. MAXIMUS HOUDINI
and GUNNADOO TWIST bumped on the first turn after the start. DIAMOND FIESTA, MAXIMUS HOUDINI and THRILLA
STROKE bumped on the turn into the back straight resulting in the three
greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing ground causing GUNNADOO TWIST to
check off the heels of MAXIMUS HOUDINI resulting in GUNNADOO TWIST, MANHATTAN
MAID and AMARDA bumping heavily and all losing considerable ground. MAXIMUS HOUDINI also lost considerable
ground as a result of the incident. THRILLA
STROKE and DIAMOND FIESTA bumped on the turn into the front straight
resulting in some inconvenience to both greyhounds. |

who fell. |

begin. KNOCKIN’ BLUE was tightened for
racing room and lost ground in the back straight. SLOW DANCER checked off MISS BEAST and lost
ground on the turn out of the back straight.
SIR REGINALD checked across the heels of KNOCKIN’ BLUE in the front
straight. SCOTT SPEED raced wide in
the home straight. |
