1.

ANGLISS MEATS MAIDEN 380M

Trainer H ARDLE was fined $50 under the provisions of GAR 39-1 for presenting MR MERV to race with a weight variation outside the requirements of the rules of greyhound racing.

MR MERV was a late scratching from the race.

 

RHONDA’S DOT was the best to begin.  FIDDY BUCKS was slow to begin.  RHONDA’S DOT was tightened for racing room and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  BELLE’S HAWKE and MAPPLER’S DELIGHT bumped on the turn into the front straight resulting in MAPPER’S DELIGHT losing ground and checking across the heels of BELLE’S HAWKE.

FV ARUNTA MAIDEN 380M

SILVER MOUSE was the best to begin.  DYLAN’S PICK and ARTS bumped in the back straight resulting in both greyhounds losing ground.  DYLAN’S PICK checked off the heels of FLYING MOZZIE and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  OILS AIN’T OILS improved on to the heels of BELLA SENORITA on the turn out of the back straight resulting in both greyhounds losing ground.  FLYING MOZZIE checked off the heels of ARTS and lost ground after turning out of the back straight.  DYLAN’S PICK raced very wide into the front straight. A veterinary examination of the greyhound revealed a laceration to the near elbow. Connections were advised that the performance of the greyhound to-night was boarding on unsatisfactory.

RUBIE OLSEN NOVICE 380M

Even start.  ZIPPING OUTLAW and BROTHER ROB were tightened for racing room and lost ground shortly after the start.  RIFF checked off RIPPING ESCAPE and lost ground in the back straight.  ZIPPING OUTLAW shifted out entering the front straight forcing LEAD CONTENDER to race wide.

MIGGINS RACING 5th GRADE 380M

MISS LARDIE DA was the best to begin.  PRIM AND PRIZZY checked off UNIVERSAL ONE and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.

FROST & SPARK ELECTRICAL 5th GRADE 380M

JASPER ROSE was the best to begin.  RONRAY BULLET checked off SINGLE SHOT and lost ground in the back straight.

LOUNDS FRESH SEAFOOD 4th GRADE 380M

Even start.  MY KIDS TUITION was tightened for racing room and lost ground in the back straight.  SCOTTIE’S GIRL was tightened for racing room and checked off FARMOR GREENIES in the back straight.  SCOTTIE’S GIRL checked off the heels of BEAMING BOUNCER and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  I.M ALICE and LIBERTY LEGS bumped entering the front straight.

T.G.R.C. EASTER SPRINT TROPHY HEAT 1 380M

Trainer M Davies was fined $50 under the provisions of GAR 39-1 for presenting OLD MATERIAL to race with a weight variation outside the requirements of the rules of greyhound racing.  OLD MATERIAL was a late scratching from the race.

 

The start of the race was delayed 28 minutes due to a malfunction with the lure.

 

Even start.  ZABDON VUITTON and METRO MAN were tightened for racing room and lost ground shortly after the start.  METRO MAN continued to lose ground to finish a distant last.  A veterinary inspection of the greyhound revealed injury to both hind leg muscles.  General tightened occurred on the turn out of the back straight resulting in PUMA CLOUD losing ground.

T.G.R.C. EASTER SPRINT TROPHY HEAT 1 380M

The starting time of the raced was amended to 10.22pm.

 

FANTASTIC LIAM was the best to begin.  MAYWYN WILL WIN was tightened for racing room and lost ground shortly after the start.  SKY LARK checked off FANTASTIC LIAM and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight resulting in interference to GOLD TOTAL.  MAYWYN WILL WIN and PEARSON PRIDE bumped on the turn out of the back straight resulting in both greyhounds losing ground.  SKY LARK and GOLD TOTAL bumped on several occasions in the front straight resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing ground.

GOLDENVIEW G/H COMPLEX 4th GRADE 380M

Amended starting time for the race was 10.47pm.

 

RAMBO RITSON was the best to begin.  ASA ABBANDANDO was tightened for racing room and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight causing some inconvenience to WATCH THE MAGIC.  WATCH THE MAGIC checked off the heels of BERISHA and lost considerable ground on the turn into the front straight.

10.

CHEAPA AUTO SPARES 4/5th GRADE 498M

Amended starting time for the race was 11.05pm.

 

The race was declared a ‘NO RACE’ when KERRIE’S A MINX, who was leading the field, passed the lure and eased in the back straight.

11.

MARK HEATH 5th GRADE 380M

Amended starting time for the race was 11.23pm.

 

EL MALAMUTE was the best to begin.  LITTLE RANDLE was slow to begin.  TOMMY MARKTU was tightened for racing room and lost ground in the back straight.  MANHATTAN MAID checked off MADADAM and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight resulting in interference to SMOOTH FLAME.  SMOOTH FLAME and LITTLE RANDLE bumped in the front straight resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing ground.  TOMMY MARKTU tailed off to finish a distant last.  A veterinary examination of the greyhound revealed no abnormalities.  Subsequently, Stewards acting under GAR 71 stood TOMMY MARKTU down from racing until the completion of a satisfactory trial for an unsatisfactory performance.
