KAPYONG MAIDEN 380M

RHONDAS DOT was best to begin with LORD LUCAS slowly away. Approaching the top turn LORD LUCAS and TARA ROSE collided resulting in LORD LUCAS to be severely checked and lose ground. POPPY CHOOKY raced wide for the majority of the event.

 

The greyhound LORD LUCAS underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

LONE PINE NOVICE 380M

PARTIAL DEFENCE and OVERRULED were best to begin. Leaving the back straight PARTIAL DEFENCE was tightened for room and checked. Entering the top turn LEAD CONTENDER improved onto the heels of OVERRULED resulting in that runner to be severely checked and lose ground. Shortly after ZIPPING OUTLAW was tightened for room and checked. Rounding the turn into the front straight QUEEN OF CAWDOR and OVERRULED collided resulting in OVERRULED to be checked.

 

The greyhound OVERRULED underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off side groin and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

BABY 700 NOVICE 380M

Even start. In the back straight RIPPING ESCAPE was tightened for room and hampered. Approaching the top turn FULMINATION was tightened for room and checked.

LONG TAN 5th GRADE 380M

Even start. Shortly after the start DIAMOND FIESTA was tightened for room and checked. Leaving the back straight OLD MATERIAL contacted the hindquarters of FROM THE TAP resulting in FROM THE TAP to be severely checked and lose ground.

 

The greyhound FROM THE TAP underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

GALLIPOLLI 4th GRADE 380M

WHATTA PASS was marginally slow to begin. Entering the top turn BERISHA was tightened for room and momentarily hampered. WHATTA PASS which was trailing checked outwards to avoid that runners heels. Through the top turn BERISHA was tightened for room and checked. Entering the front straight WHATTA PASS checked off heels. In the front straight I’M ALICE and CHIPS AHOY bumped resulting in I’M ALICE to be hampered.

CORAL SEA 3/4th GRADE 380M

BACK STREET BOY was marginally slow to begin. At the start AMY’S ELITE was tightened for room and checked. Rounding the turn into the front straight MISS LARDIE DA and AMY’S ELITE collided resulting in AMY’S ELITE to be checked and MISS LARDIE DA to be severely checked and lose ground.

 

The greyhound MISS LARDIE DA underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

KOKADA TRIAL 4/5th GRADE 498M

PARIS AUGOGO was slow to begin. Through the first turn CRUSHED ICE, STREAKS OF GOLD, ASA EL CHAPPO and UNIVERSAL ONE were all tightened for room and checked to varying degrees. PARIS AUGOGO which was trailing was checked as a consequence. In the back straight NOVA PARTY was wide. In the front straight CRUSHED ICE was tightened for room and momentarily hampered.

SPUDNUT was best to begin. Through the first turn ASA ABBANDANDO, BRUTON MISS and BLUEFIRE CHALICE were all tightened for room and checked.

ALL FUELED UP and SENORITA REGINA were best to begin. Leaving the back straight SCOTTIE’S GIRL was tightened for room and hampered. EL MALAMUTE which was trailing and MACADAM which was racing to their outside were checked as a consequence.

SEIGE OF TOBRUK 5th GRADE 380M

Even start. At the start NOT A WORD was tightened for room and checked. Leaving the back straight TRAVELLIN’ MAN, KORCHECK and JASPER ROSE were tightened for room and checked to varying degrees. SUPERFORMANCE which was trailing was checked as a consequence. Rounding the turn into the front straight KORCHEK and TRAVELLIN’ MAN bumped resulting in both runners to be hampered.

TIMOR LESTE 5th GRADE 380M

Even start. In the back straight PATJACK LOMAR was tightened for room and hampered. Entering the top turn HE TELLS LIES was tightened for room, checked and shifted outwards as a consequence. TAX LOOPHOLE which was racing to its outside was checked as a result. PATJACK LOMAR and CABARET TONIGHT which were trailing were checked to varying degrees as a consequence. In the front straight ELITE MARJ and GAGAN NANCY collided resulting in both runners to be hampered.
