Stewards Trial 1 – 380m

The greyhound RAIL GUN failed a 6 month trial over the distance of 380m.

 

The greyhound CHAOTIC MAGIC performed a satisfactory 6 month trial over the distance of 380m in a time of 22.21

 

RACE REPORTS

 

1.

NQ MARINA FRESH SEAFOODS MAIDEN 380M

SILVER MOUSE was the best to begin.  MAGICAL DASH was slow to begin.  NO NOT ME checked off WINNIE’S ROSE and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight resulting in interference to SHE TELLS LIES and CINCINNATI LASS causing both of these greyhound to lose considerable ground.

T.G.B.O.T.A. NOVICE 380M

Even start with ARTHUR’S STEVIE and BAD TOMMY slow to begin.  PARIS AUGOGO lost ground as the start was effected.  OILS AINT OILS was tightened for racing room and lost ground in the back straight.  PARIS AUGOGO checked off ARTS and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  Shortly after BAD TOMMY checked off ARTS and lost ground causing interference to PARIS AUGOGO and OILS AINT OILS.  BELLE’S HAWKE checked off ARTS and lost ground after turning out of the back straight.

SUNNY OLSEN 4/5th GRADE 498M

Even start with LITTLE MAKRIL slow to begin.  General tightening occurred on the turn into the back straight resulting in GOLDEN PLANET and ZIPPING OUTLAW losing ground.  JASPER ROSE checked off NOT A WORD and lost ground entering the back straight.  JASPER ROSE checked across the heels of STREAKS OF GOLD and lost ground entering the front straight.

MCGUIRES RACING 4th GRADE 380M

VAL’S MAGIC was scratched at kennelling on veterinary advice.  Even start with SENORITY REGINA slow to begin.  ALL FUELLED UP checked across the heels of SUPERFORMANCE and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  SUPERFORMANCE and CONRAD bumped on several occasions in the front straight causing some inconvenience to both greyhounds and forcing CONRAD to race wide.

WEE WIN KENNELS 4th GRADE 380M

Even start.  MISS LARDIE DA checked off the heels of ARE JAY DUREE and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight causing interference to BACK STREET BOY and I’M ALICE.

TOWNSVILLE GRAND PRIX HEAT 1 498M

MUTLEY ON FRIDAY was the best to begin.  SPUDNUT and INNOCENT MAN bumped as the start was effected.  INNOCENT MAN was tightened for racing room and checked off MAYWYN’S ROCKER on the turn into the back straight.  MAYWYN’S ROCKER shifted out making muzzle contact with SPUDNUT on the turn into the front straight resulting in SPUDNUT becoming unbalanced and bumping MUTLEY ON FRIDAY.  INNOCENT MAN shifted out and bumped BLACK AS TAR in the front straight causing BLACK AS TAR to raced wide forcing DIAMOND FIESTA to race wide.   Stewards acting under the provisions of GAR 69A stood MAYWYN ROCKER down from racing for a period of 3 months and the completion of a satisfactory trial for marring (2nd offence).

TOWNSVILLE GRAND PRIX HEAT 2 498M

CHIPS AHOY was the best to begin.  General tightening occurred on the turn into the back straight resulting in WHATTA PASS, QUEEN OF CAWDOR and LITTLE ELL BEE to lose ground.  LITTLE ELL BEE checked off QUEEN OF CAWDOR and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.

WALLY MASTERS BEST 8 380M

MADAGASTER was the best to begin.  BLUEFIRE CHALICE and FANTASTIC LIAM were slow to begin.  LIBERTY LEGS and FANTASTIC LIAM bumped prior to turning out of the back straight resulting in both greyhounds losing ground.

HICKMOTTS CARPENTRY MAINTENANCE 5th GRADE 380M

MACADAM and CABARET TONIGHT were the best to begin.  PASS THE AMMO was slow to begin.  BRINDI CHOPPER was tightened for racing room and lost ground in the back straight.  CABARET TONIGHT checked off TAX LOOPHOLE and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight causing interference to BRINDI CHOPPER.

10.

RACHEL & EMILY THOMPSON 5th GRADE 380M

Even start with WATCH THE MAGIC slow to begin.  WATCH THE MAGIC checked off LOTS OF TIME and lost ground in the back straight.  KORCHECK and SKY LARK bumped on the turn out of the back straight resulting in KORCHECK losing ground.  UNIVERSAL ONE shifted out on the turn into the front straight bumping SKY LARK forcing that greyhound wide.  SKY LARK became unbalanced and bumped VELOCITY AIM resulting in both greyhound racing wide into the straight.  UNIVERSAL ONE continued to shift out and race wide in the front straight.

SCOOPS FISH & CHIPS 5th GRADE 380M

Even start.  TRAVELLIN’ MAN lost ground in the back straight and tailed off to finish a distant last.  A veterinary inspection of the greyhound revealed a triceps muscle injury.  RONWAY BULLET was tightened for racing room and lost ground in the back straight.  BIG SAV checked off TOES and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight resulting in interference to ELITE MARJ and RONWAY BULLET.  EL MALAMUTE shifted out on the turn into the front straight forcing BIG SAV wide.
