The greyhound SIENNA’S MISS failed a stewards’ trial over the distance of 380m.

ANGLISS MEATS TOWNSVILLE MAIDEN 380M

LITTLE MAGICIAN and MR. MERVE were the best to begin.  MR. MACGREGOR, ROCKET’S BUDDY and MR. CANNA were slow to begin.  MR. CANNA checked off SHE TELLS LIES and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  MR. MACGREGOR checked off the hind quarters of MR. MERVE just prior to the finish line.

NQ MARINA FRESH SEAFOODS 5th GRADE 380M

Even start.  AINIA was tightened for racing room and lost ground shortly after the start.  RIPPING ESCAPE checked off LISCOYLE LADY approaching the turn into the front straight resulting in both greyhounds losing ground causing interference to AINIA.

Even start with POUNCING LILIE slow to begin.  OILS AIN’T OILS was tightened for racing room and lost ground in the back straight.  FULMINATION checked off NATTY’S ON FIRE and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.

TOWN AUTOMATICS 0 – 3 WINS 498M

POPPY CHOOKY was the best to begin.  ARMADA and BROTHER ROB were slow to begin.  PASS THE AMMO bumped NO NOT ME in on to SLIPPERY COIN shortly after the start resulting in NO NOT ME losing some ground.  NO NOT ME checked off PASS THE AMMO and lost ground on the turn into the back straight causing interference to QUEEN OF CAWDOR.  Shortly after SLIPPERY COIN checked off PASS THE AMMO and lost ground.  SLIPPERY COIN and QUEEN OF CAWDOR bumped entering the back straight resulting in QUEEN OF CAWDOW losing ground back on to NO NOT ME.  ARMADA checked across the heels of BROTHER ROB on the turn into the front straight.

WEE WIN KENNELS 4th GRADE 380M

Even start with MANHATTAN MAID marginally slow to begin.  FROM THE TAP checked off the heels of LOTS OF TIME and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  Stewards reviewed the film of the race prior to the ‘ALL CLEAR’ being semaphored in relation to the lure position after turning out of the back straight.  Stewards acting under the provisions of GAR 55 were of the opinion that no greyhound was substantially inconvenienced so as to affect the outcome of the race, in relation to the position of the lure and the ‘ALL CLEAR’ was semaphored.

HICKMOTT’S CARPENTRY MAINTENANCE 3/4th GRADE 380M

The start of the race was delayed 1 minute due to interstate harness racing.

 

CHIPS AHOY was the best to begin.  SIR REGINALD checked off SUPERFORMANCE and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  ATOMIC OPIE checked off MAYWYN ACCOLADES and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.

ROSSVALE FISH & BURGER BAR 5th GRADE FINAL 498M

WATCH OUT RENALD and RIFF were the best to begin.  General tightening occurred on the turn into the back straight resulting in GO GWAN losing ground.  ZIPPING OUTLAW raced wide into the front straight.

JUST PERFECT KITCHENS BEST 8 380M

Even start.  FACE TIME and BACK STREET BOY were tightened for racing room and lost ground in the back straight.  OSCAR TANGO checked across the heels of BACK STREET BOY and lost ground on the turn into the front straight.

TDB CARPENTRY & MAINTENANCE 5th GRADE 380M

UNIVERSAL ONE was the best to begin.  CYCLONE ROSIE was marginally slow to begin.  ZIPPING CARLTON checked off SILVER MOUSE and lost ground approaching the turn out of the back straight resulting in interference to RUBY’S MAGIC and CYCLONE ROSIE.  ZIPPING CARLTON continued to race on to the heels of SILVER MOUSE resulting in ZIPPING CARLTON becoming unbalanced and losing further ground.  GAGAN NANCY checked across the heels of MACADAM to race wide entering the front straight.

WATERS ABRASIVE BLASTING 5th GRADE 380M

ALL FUELED UP was the best to begin GOLDENPAW FLYER was slow to begin.  DUSKY SILK checked off SCOTTIE’S GIRL and lost ground in the back straight.  MAYWYN WILL WIN, CHAOTIC MAGIC and ALL FUELED UP raced wide into the front straight.

TGBOTA 5th GRADE 380M

TRAVELLIN’ MAN and SWEET ROXETTE were the best to begin.  PARIS AUGOGO jumped awkwardly and was slow into stride.  ASA ABBANDANDO checked off SMOOTH FLAME and lost ground in the back straight.  EASY OFF checked off TRAVELLIN’ MAN and lost ground in the back straight.
