Stewards Report 1 – 380m The greyhound SUSHI
COWBOY performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 380m in
a time of 22.56 and is now cleared all tracks except Brisbane. |

RQ MAIDEN 1000 HEAT 1 380M MR. MERV was the best to begin. ROCKET’S BUDDY was slow to begin. ROCKET’S BUDDY was tightened for racing
room and checked off SPINNING JOY and lost ground on the turn out of the back
straight. SMOKEY WISHES checked off
FARINGDON and lost ground after turning out of the back straight causing
interference to SPINNING JOY and KULU HIPSTER. ROCKET’S BUDDY and KULU HIPSTER bumped on
the turn into the front straight. SPINNING
JOY shifted out entering the front straight causing COMMANCHE to race wide. |

BROS RQ MAIDEN 1000 HEAT 2 380M WICKED EARNER was the best to begin. RHONDA’S DOUGIE and MR. MACGREGOR were slow
to begin. RHONDA’S DOUGIE checked off
GOOD PEOPLE and lost considerable ground on the turn out of the back straight
causing interference to WANT MORE. RHONDA’S
DOUGIE and MR. MACGREGOR bumped after turning out of the back straight
resulting in RHONDA’S DOUGIE losing ground. |

BROS RQ MAIDEN 1000 HEAT 3 380M RHONDA’S
BEAR was the best to begin. TARA ROSE
was marginally slow to begin. BANJO
AN’ HENRY and MR. CANNA were slow to begin.
MIRA’S DJAY and DREAM WEAVER were tightened for racing room shortly
after the start and both lost ground. BANJO
AN’ HENRY knuckled and almost fell in the back straight losing ground as a
result. TARA ROSE checked off SIR
WEISE BURGER and lost ground after turning out of the back straight resulting
in interference to BANJO AN’ HENRY and MIRA’S DJAY. MIRA’S DJAY and SIR WEISE BURGER bumped
entering the front straight resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced
and losing ground. |

ANGLISS MEATS TOWNSVILLE NOVICE 380M SLIDING DOORS was the best to begin. BELLE’S HAWKE was tightened for racing room
and lost ground in the back straight. BELLE’S
HAWKE checked across the heels of LITTLE MAGICIAN on the turn into the front
straight causing some inconvenience to HARBOUR REIGN. BELLE’S HAWKE continued to shift out across
the heels of GLIDING MISS to race wide into the front straight. POPPY CHOOKY raced wide into and down the
front straight. |

& MARLEN WALKER 4/5th GRADE HEAT 1 380M MAYWYN WILL WIN and KULU DOT COM were the
best to begin. ZIPPING CARLTON lost
ground in the back straight. KULU DOT
COM checked across the heels of COOL DE BEERS and lost some ground prior to
turning into the front straight. MAYWYN
WILL WIN raced wide into the front straight. |

380M Even start. RONRAY FLAME was tightened for racing room
and lost ground shortly after the start.
GO GWAN checked off the heels of GAGAN ELL and lost ground prior to
turning out of the back straight. GAGAN
ELL was tightened for racing room and lost ground prior to turning into the
front straight. KAPPOW checked across
the heels of GAGAN ELL and lost ground on the turn into the front straight. MISS LARDIE DA was tightened for racing
room and lost ground entering the front straight. |

BURDEKIN VET SERVICES
BEST 8 380M SKY LARK was the best to begin. SKY LARK checked off GOLD TOTAL and lost
ground prior to turning into the front straight. SKY LARK and MADAGASTER bumped continuously
on the turn into the front straight resulting in both greyhounds racing wide
into the straight. |

CUP PRELUDE 498M Even start. General tightening occurred on the first
turn after the start resulting in VIDI VICI, INNOCENT MAN, CHIPS AHOY and
SWAP YA bumping and becoming unbalanced.
The tightening continued on the turn into the back straight, resulting
in CHIPS AHOY, INNOCEWNT MAND, VIDI VICI, WHATTA PASS and ASA ABBANDANDO all
losing ground. SWAP YA and ROLL SO
DEEP bumped on the turn out of the back straight resulting in ROLL SO DEEP
losing ground. |

ANGLISS MEATS
TOWNSVILLE 4/5th GRADE 498M Even start with WATCH OUT RENALD slow to
begin. BROTHER ROB and NOT A WORD were
marginally slow into stride as the start was effected. WATCH OUT RENALD checked across the heels
of ARTS and lost ground on the turn into the back straight. KULU EAGLE and PASS THE AMMO bumped prior
to entering the back straight resulting in both greyhounds becoming
unbalanced and losing ground. WATCH
OUT RENALD checked off CRUSHED ICE and lost ground on the turn out of the
back straight. NOT A WORD improved on
to the heels of ARTS on the turn out of the back straight. |

380M Trainer R. Lound
was fined $50 under the provisions of GAR 39.1 for presenting LEAD CONTENDER
to race with a weight variation outside the requirements of the Rules of
Greyhound Racing. LEAD CONTENDER was a
late scratching form the race. Even start.
SMOOTH FLAME was tightened for racing room and lost ground in the back
straight. SMOOTH FLAME and KORCHECK
bumped on several occasions on the turn into the front straight. TEMNICK checked across the heels of DILSTON
BRAE to race wide entering the front straight. |

BINKS & MARLEN WALKER 4/5th GRADE HEAT 4
380M GOJO MOJO was the best to begin. POUNCING LILIE was slow to begin. OLD MATE NICK knuckled over and lost ground
as the start was effected. OLD MATE NICK
improved on to the heels of SWEET ROSETTE on the turnout of the back straight
resulting in interference to the entire field with the exception of GOJO
MOJO. SWEET ROXETTE raced wide into
the front straight. The placings
semaphored by the Judge after the raced were reviewed by Stewards prior to
the “ALL CLEAR” being declared. After
reviewing the photo finish of the race the Judge amended the second and third
placings and the “ALL CLEAR” was declared.
Stewards advised the Judge that his action in relation to the original
semaphored placings was negligent and a severe reprimand was issued. |
