ALL RIG LIFTING & ENGINEERING MAIDEN 380M

WICKED EARNER was the best to begin.  RHONDA’S DOUGIE was slow to begin.  WANT MORE was tightened for racing room and lost ground in the back straight.  WILLY ROCKET improved on to the heels of SMOKEY WISHES on the turn out of the back straight resulting in both greyhounds losing considerable ground.  RHONDA’S DOUGIE checked off WICKED EARNER and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight resulting in interference to WANT MORE.

JUDGE BROS RQ MAIDEN FINAL 380M

Even start with MR. CANNA slow to begin.  RHONDA’S BEAR was tightened for racing room and lost some ground in the back straight causing inconvenience to RHONDA’S YOGI and GOOD PEOPLE.  FABULOUS MIA was tightened for racing room and lost ground in the back straight.  RHONDA’S YOGI checked off the heels of WICKED ASSASSIN and lost ground in the back straight.  GOOD PEOPLE checked off the heels of WICKED ASSASSIN and lost ground in the back straight.  GOOD PEOPLE checked off RHONDA’S YOGI and lost ground approaching the turn out of the back straight.

LOUNDS FRESH SEAFOODS 5th GRADE 380M

SILVER MOUSE was the best to begin.  ROCKIN’ TONIGHT was slow to begin.  RONRAY BULLET checked off POUNCING LILIE and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight resulting in interference to DASHING DIME who fell.

DAN THE PAINTER MAN 5th GRADE 380M

Even start with SLIDING DOORS and KAPPOW slow to begin.  General tightening occurred in the back straight resulting in SUGAR HIT AIVAH and STREAKS OF GOLD losing ground.  SUGAR HIT AIVAH continued to lose ground to finish a distant last.  A veterinary examination of the greyhound revealed a near fore muscle injury.  SLIDING DOORS and COOPER’S LESSON bumped on the turn out of the back straight resulting in both greyhounds losing ground.  DILSTON BRAE and SLIDING DOORS bumped entering the front straight resulting in some inconvenience to both greyhounds.

 

Stewards questioned trainer R. Essery in relation to the performance of SLIDING DOORS.  The trainer stated that the greyhound has a habit of starting slow at odd times which she attributes to the bitches nature.

BINKS & MARLENE WALKER 4/5th GRADE FINAL 380M

BURNER BANT was difficult to load into the boxes.  BURNER BANT will be boxed first in future races.

 

LOTS OF TIME was the best to begin.  BURNER BANT was tightened for racing room and lost ground in the back straight.  BERISHA checked off GOJO MOJO and lost ground back on to KINDA HOT resulting in both greyhounds losing considerable ground.  COOL DE BEERS raced wide into the front straight.

6.

QGBOTA TOWNSVILLE CUP CONSOLATION 498M

CHIPS AHOY was the best to begin.  VIDI VICI was slow to begin.  VIDI VICI was tightened for racing room and lost ground on the first turn after the start.  THAT HOIUDINI checked off CHIPS AHOY and lost some ground on the turn into the back straight.  ROCKET’S MAGIC lost ground entering the back straight and continued to lose ground finishing last.  A veterinary inspection of the greyhound revealed no abnormalities.  Stewards acting under the provisions of GAR 71 stood ROCKET’S MAGIC down from racing until the completion of a satisfactory trial for an unsatisfactory performance.  CHIPS AHOY checked off SONIC THUNDER and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.

TGBOTA NQ SPRINT FINAL 380M

SKY LARK and FACE TIME were the best to begin.  BLACK MASS was slow to begin.  MAYWYN ACCOLADES checked off the heels of SKY LARK and fell on the turn out of the back straight.  Shortly after SKY LARK checked off OUR CAVALIER and lost ground.  FACE TIME shifted out and bumped OUR CAVALIER entering the front straight.

ANGLISS MEATS TOWNSVILLE CUP FINAL 498M

BRUTON MISS was the best to begin.  OPAL NERA, ZIPPING OUTLAW, ZABDON FERRARI and SPLIT IMAGE all raced tight to the first turn resulting in the four greyhounds becoming unbalanced and ZABDON FERRARI losing ground.  KULU JASPER checked off SWAP YA and lost ground on the turn into the back straight.  ZIPPING OUTLAW checked off OPAL NERA and lost ground entering the back straight.

NGRU STAYERS CHALLENGE 643M

Even start.  BROTHER ROB and MINNIE MARTINI bumped as the start was effected.  BROTHER ROB shifted out on the turn out of the front straight bumping WATCH OUT RENALD on to SKY BOND causing both of those greyhounds to fall and causing interference to WHATTA PASS.

KULU DOT COM was the best to begin.  CHIEF BOLT was tightened for racing room and lost ground in the back straight.  HUCKABEE was tightened for racing room and lost ground prior to turning out of the back straight.

BOHLE BARN HOTEL MOTEL 5th GRADE 380M

GO PRANCER GO was the best to begin.  OLD MATERIAL was slow to begin.  ZIPPING CARLTON checked off VELOCITY AIM and lost ground in the back straight.  RUNYA DOWN and FULMINATION bumped on the turn out of the back straight resulting in both greyhounds losing ground.  RUNYA DOWN checked off the heels of GO PRANCER GO entering the front straight resulting in RUNYA DOWN becoming unbalanced and almost falling.
