ANGLISS MEATS TOWNSVILLE MAIDEN 380M

FABULOUS MIA, RHONDA’S DOUGIE and WILLY ROCKET were the best to begin.  BANJO AN’ HENRY was slow to begin.  SPINNING JOY checked off ROCKET’S BUDDY and lost ground as the start was effected.  WICKED EARNER checked off the heels of RHONDA’S DOUGIE on the turn out of the back straight causing some inconvenience to ALL LIQUORED UP.  BANJO AN’ HENRY raced wide into the front straight.  FABULOUS MIA raced wide in the front straight.

BURDEKIN VET SERVIES MAIDEN 380M

Even start with MR. CANNA slow to begin.  GOOD PEOPLE was tightened for racing room and checked off MIRA’S DJAY shortly after the start.  FLO’S CHICKEN improved on to the heels of WANT MORE and lost ground in the back straight.  GOOD PEOPLE and FLO’S CHICKEN bumped approaching the turn out of the back straight resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced and FLO’S CHICKEN almost falling.  WICKED ASSASSIN was tightened for racing room and lost ground approaching the turn into the front straight.  MR. CANNA raced wide into the front straight.

MARINA FRESH SEAFOODS NOVICE 380M

Even start with GLIDING MISS slow to begin.  BROTHER ROB was tightened for racing room and lost ground in the back straight.  General tightening occurred on the turn out of the back straight resulting in RHONDA’S YOGI, SILVER MOUSE and NOT FADE AWAY losing ground.  Shortly after RHONDA’S BEAR was tightened for racing room losing ground back on to NOT FADE AWAY and SILVER MOUSE.

WATERS ABRASIVE BLASTING 5th GRADE 380M

RAPPER’S DELIGHT was a late scratching from the race due to a near fore toe injury sustained in the kennels.

 

WINNIE’S ROSE and SLIPPERY COIN were the best to begin.  POUNCING LILIE was slow to begin.  SLIPPERY COIN was tightened for racing room and lost ground in the back straight.  RONRAY BULLET checked off SMOOTH FLAME and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  Shortly after SLIPPERY COIN checked off SMOOTH FLAME and lost ground.

BOHLE BARN HOTEL MOTEL 4/5th GRADE 380M

Even start.  BURNER BANT was tightened for racing room and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  COOL DE BEERS and TEMNICK bumped on the turn into the front straight resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing ground.  BURNER BANT shifted out across the heels of TEMNICK to race wide entering the front straight causing some inconvenience to COOL DE BEERS.

FV NAPIER BEST 8 380M

Trainer M. Hickmott was fined $50 under the provisions of GAR 39.1 for presenting BUNDY CUTTER to race with a weight variation outside the requirements of the Rules of Greyhound Racing.  Subsequently BUNDY CUTTER was a late scratching from the race.

 

BRUTON MISS was the best to begin.  BLACK MASS was slow to begin.  FACE TIME was tightened for racing room and lost considerable ground on the turn out of the back straight.  BACK STREET BNOY and KERRIE’S A MINX bumped on the turn into the front straight resulting in both greyhounds losing ground.

TOWNSVILLE FUTURITY FINAL 498M

Even start with ARTHUR’S STEVIE slow to begin.  General tightening occurred on the first turn after the start resulting in CALL ME DORY, MANHATTAN MAID and SLOW DANCER being inconvenienced.  ARTHUR’S STEVIE lost ground on the turn into the back straight and continued to lose ground taking no further competitive part in the race.  A veterinary examination of the greyhound revealed a near hind muscle injury.  SLIDING DOORS checked off the heels of QUEEN OF CAWDOR and lost ground entering the back straight.  CALL ME DORY shifted out on the turn into the front straight bumping QUEEN OF CAWDOR forcing that greyhound to race wide.

Even start with HEZ BOBY DAZZLER and WHATTA PASS slow to begin.  General tightening occurred on the turn into the back straight resulting in STILL WE BELIEVE, GO GWAN and WHATTA PASS being inconvenienced.  GO PRANCER GO was tightened for racing room and lost ground prior to entering the back straight.  STILL WE BELIEVE checked off WHATTA PASS and lost ground entering the back straight.

BUSHLAND BEACH STORE 3/4th GRADE 380M

Even start.  SKY LARK was tightened for racing room and lost ground shortly after the start.  SKY LARK improved on to the heels of AMY’S ELITE and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  SKY LARK checked across the heels of BLUEFIRE CHALICE and raced wide into the front straight.  TOES checked off SWAP YA in the front straight.

SCOOPS FISH BAR 5th GRADE 380M

DILSTON BRAE was the best to begin.  ASA ABBANDANDO was tightened for racing room and lost considerable ground on the turn out of the back straight.  RONRAY FLAME and FULMINATION bumped on the turn into the front straight.  FULMINATION raced wide into the front straight.

A2O TRAFFIC SOLUTIONS 5th GRADE 380M

VELOCITY AIM was the best to begin.  SCOTTIE’S GIRL checked off ZIPPING CALRTON and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  SCOTTIE’S GIRL continued to lose ground tailing off to finish a distant last.  A veterinary examination of the greyhound revealed a near hind muscle injury.
