Stewards Trial 1 – 498m

The greyhound ROCKET’S MAGIC performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 498m in a time of 28.76 and is now cleared all tracks.

 

RACE REPORTS

 

1.

ANGLISS MEATS TOWNSVILLE MAIDEN 380M

FABULOUS MIA was the best to begin.  ROCKET’S BUDDY was slow to begin.  WANT MORE and SILVER WEASEL were tightened for racing room and lost ground in the back straight.  WANT MORE checked off SILVER WEASEL and lost ground approaching the turn out of the back straight.  FABULOUS MIA was tightened for racing room and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  SILVER WEASEL and ROCKET’S BUDDY bumped on the turn into the front straight resulting in some inconvenience to both greyhounds.

BURDEKIN VET SERVICES NOVICE 380M

Even start.  GOLDEN PHOEBE and ILLY BALE were tightened for racing room and lost ground shortly after the start.  SLEEPY MITCH raced wide on the turn into the front straight.  POPPY CHOOKY raced wide in the front straight.

MARINA FRESH SEAFOODS 5th GRADE 380M

BELLE’S HAWKE and TRAVELLIN’ MAN were the best to begin.  General tightening occurred on the turn out of the back straight resulting in MR. MERVE and TRAVELLIN’ MAN losing ground.  DREAM WEAVER and MR. MERVE raced wide in the front straight.

WATERS ABRASIVE BLASTING 5th GRADE 380M

SLIPPERY COIN was the best to begin.  LAWBRINGER was slow to begin.  STREAKS OF GOLD checked off SLIPPERY COIN and lost considerable ground on the turn out of the back straight causing interference to COOPER’S LESSON.  STILL WE BELIEVE raced wide into the front straight.

BOHLE BARN HOTEL MOTEL 5th GRADE 380M

Even start.  SMOKEY WISHES was tightened for racing room and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  SMOKEY WISHES checked off TRISHA NOLAN and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  ROCKIN’ TONIGHT was tightened for racing room and checked off FULMINATION losing ground on the turn out of the back straight.

FV NAPIER 4/5th GRADE 498M

FARINGDEON was the best to begin.  ARTS was slow to begin.  ARTS and BANJO AN’ HENRY bumped on the first turn after the start resulting in both greyhounds losing ground.  FARINGDON checked off WHATTA PASS and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight causing interference to ALPHA HECTOR and BANJO AN’ HENRY.  ARTS checked across the heels of KORCHECK and bumped WHATTA PASS entering the front straight.

BUSHLAND  BEACH STORE 3/4th GRADE 380M

PALEFACE SCOTCH was the best to begin.  BRINDI CHOPPER was tightened for racing room and lost ground approaching the turn out of the back straight.

SCOOPS FISH BAR BEST 8 380M

Even start with BLACK MASS slow to begin.  GO GWAN was tightened for racing room and lost ground shortly after the start.  SUPERFORMANCE checked off TOES and fell on the turn out of the back straight causing interference to BLACK MASS and UNIVERSAL ONE who also fell.  BLACK MASS and TOES bumped on the front straight resulting in both greyhounds becoming unbalanced and losing some ground.

9.

A2O TRAFFIC SOLUTIONS 4th GRADE 380M

GAGAL ELL was the best to begin.  RUBY’S MAGIC lost ground in the back straight and tailed off to finish a distant last.  A veterinary inspection of the greyhound revealed abdominal muscle strain.

10.

JUDGE BROS ELECTRICAL 5th GRADE 380M

ALL LIQUORED UP was a late scratching at 21.49 on veterinary advice.

 

KAPPOW was the best to begin.  SMOOTH FLAME checked off the heels of GOOD PEOPLE and lost some ground in the back straight.  OLD MATERIAL checked off GOOD PEOPLE and lost ground prior to entering the front straight causing some inconvenience to SMOOTH FLAME. SLATER’S PICK and GOOD PEOPLE bumped entering the front straight resulting in GOOD PEOPLE becoming unbalanced losing ground and bumping old material.
