Race 1 – ADOPT A RETIRED RACER MAIDEN – 380M
Even start with TIN STAR slow to begin.
JOE FRIDAY lost ground shortly after the start.
IMPENDING STORM checked off WHERE’S DOUG and
lost ground prior to turning out of the back straight.
JOE FRIDAY improved on to the heels of ARE JAY
JEAN on the turn out of the back straight resulting in ARE JAY JEANN and JOE
FRIDAY losing ground
BEWDY LODGE, TIN START and LITTLE BIT LOST raced
wide in the front straight.
ARE
JAY JEAN underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and no apparent
injuries were found.
Race 2 – BOHLE BARN HOTEL MOTEL NOVICE – 380M
WESTMEAD
WARRIOR and OUR STAR were the best to begin.
KING GUTHO was slow to begin.
General
tightening occurred approaching the turn out of the back straight resulting in
WESTMEAD WARRIOR, STRONG ENOUGH and ELSIE JEAN losing ground.
DISCO
NATTY checked off the heels of SCOTT HOOKED and lost ground prior to turning
into the front straight.
Race 3 – EVELYN GOUGH MEMORIAL 5TH GRADE (1) –
380M
Even
start.
RHONDA’S
YOGI was tightened for racing room and lost ground shortly after the start.
RHONDA’S
YOGI checked off ETHEREUM and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight
resulting in interference to FANCY A BEER.
GOLD
STYLE shifted out on the turn into the front straight to race wide forcing GOLD
TOTAL wide, GOLD STYLE then shifted in bumping CALL ME DORY resulting in both
greyhounds becoming unbalanced . The trainer of GOLD STYLE, Matthew Mcguire was
advised that the performance of the greyhound was boarding on unsatisfactory
and a warning was issued. Mr Mcquire advised that he would return the greyhound
to trials in an endeavour to gain more racing experience for the dog.
Race 4 – GOLFLINKS FISH BAR MIXED 2/3RD – 380M
Even
start.
NOT
A WORD was tightened for racing room and lost ground in the back straight.
Race 5 – KENNYS AUTO ELECTRICS MIXED 1/2ND –
380M
Even
start with OLD MATE KICK slow into stride.
FERAL
CHERAL checked off BLACK AMEX and lost ground in the back straight.
WILLIE
HOLDON checked off MAYWYN OPALS and lost considerable ground approaching the
turn out of the back straight.
WILLIE
HOLDON checked across the heels of LOGICAL OPTION on the turn into the front
straight.
FERAL
CHERAL raced wide in the front straight.
Race 6 – GRANNY GARROW 4TH GRADE – 380M
Kenna
WAS THE BEST TO BEGIN.
DREAM
AMORE checked off KENNA and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.
TOES
knuckled over and lost considerable ground on the turn out of the back
straight. TOES underwent a post-race
veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. Trainer Glen
Olsen advised that he would be retiring TOES from racing.
APPREHENSION
checked across the heels of BLACK RUSKY became unbalanced and bumped KENNA on
the turn into the front straight.
Race 7 – PETER WILSON MEMORIAL MIXED 4/5TH GRADE
– 498M
The
lure arm dislodged from the carriage and fell onto the track on the turn out of
the back straight. Subsequently a NO
RACE was declared. All greyhounds were
checked by the veterinarian who reported no abnormalities.
Race 8 – T.G.R.C TOWNSVILLE FUTURITY OPEN FINAL – 498M
The start of the race
was delayed 8 minutes due to earlier lure problems.
Even start.
GRACIOUS LADY and
MAYWYN OFTEN bumped on the first turn after the start.
RAISE YOUR GLASS
checked off GRACIOUS LADY and lost ground entering the back straight.
MULROONEY
underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were
found.
Race 9 – T.G.R.C TOWNSVILLE DERBY OPEN HEAT 1 – 498M
Even start.
General tightening
occurred shortly after the start resulting in SMOKEY WISHES and GO FREDDY GO
losing ground.
DREAM WEAVER checked
across the heels of WILLY ROCKET and lost ground on the turn into the back
straight.
SMOKEY WISHES lost
ground entering the back straight to finish a distant last. A veterinary examination of the greyhound
revealed no abnormalities. Trainer R.
Essery advised that she would be spelling the greyhound immediately.
Race 10 – T.G.R.C TOWNSVILLE DERBY OPEN HEAT 2 – 498M

LOUIE VEE and PAPPA
DOES MAMBO were tightened for racing room and lost ground shortly after the start.
POPPY CHOOKY checked
off IMMA CALLIM KLAY and lost ground on the turn into the back straight.

ROCKIN’ TONIGHT checked
off WOOP WOOP KIT and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.
WAYLON BALE shifted out
across the heels of BURNER BANT on the turn into the front straight causing
interference to SLIDING DOORS.

O’REILLY and NO THANK YOU were marginally slow to begin.

in interference to ARTHUR’S STEVIE and NO THANK YOU.
