Race 1 – HAPPY 21ST DREW WOOLER | MAIDEN | 380M

 

Even start with INDIE’S CHOICE slow to begin.

 

TRENDY HAWKE was tightened for racing room and lost ground in the back straight.

 

GOMILE shifted out to race wide on the turn into the front straight forcing SHAKE THE PAINT wide.

 

Race 2 – ANGLISS MEATS TOWNSVILLE | NOVICE | 380M

 

Even start with MANILA JET and BUTCHULLA MAGIC slow to begin.

 

RAISE YOUR GLASS was tightened for racing room and lost ground in the back straight

 

MANILA JET checked off the heels of KIOWA SHADOW and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.

 

The greyhound BUTCHULLA MAGIC underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the triceps muscle and was stood down for a period of 28 days.

 

Race 3 – SKINNYS SUPA DELI | 5PW | 380M

 

BULL DANCE was the best to begin.

 

TIN STAR was tightened for racing room and lost ground shortly after the start.

 

RHONDA’S YOGI raced wide into the front straight

 

The greyhound BREEASH MAGIC underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the triceps muscle and was stood down for a period of 10 days.  Stewards also acting under the provisions of GAR 71 stood BREEACH MAGIC down from racing until the completion of a satisfactory trail for an unsatisfactory performance.

 

Race 4 – SW & FW PATEL TRANSPORT | BEST 8 | 380M

 

Even start.

 

BELLA MARLO was tightened for racing room and lost ground in the back straight.

 

BELLA MARLO knuckled over and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  The greyhound BELLA MARLO underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.  Trainer A. Gosper informed Stewards that it was his intention to retire the greyhound.  Subsequently Stewards acting under the provisions of GAR 71 stood BELLA MARLO down from racing until the completion of a satisfactory trial for an unsatisfactory performance.

 

Race 5 – TGBOTA | GRADE 5 | 380M

 

Even start with SWEAR JAR and KY KENNETH slow to begin.

 

GOOD PEOPLE checked off KY KENNETH and fell approaching the turn out of the back straight.  The greyhound GOOD PEOPLE underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an abdominal strain and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

 

KY KENNETH checked off the heels of SPARKLING SHOGUN and lost ground prior to turning into the front straight.

 

HEZA CHOP CHOP and SPARKLING SHOGUN bumped entering the front straight causing both greyhounds some inconvenience.

 

Race 6 – WEE WIN KENNELS | GRADE | 380M

 

After loading the starters for the race the boxes opened prematurely before the lure had been set in motion. The greyhounds completed a full circuit of the track. Subsequently a NO RACE was declared.

 

Race 7 – CAROL RICHARDS | GRADE 5 | 498M

 

Even start with MAYWYN OFTEN and KING GUTHO slow to begin.

 

WILLIE HOLDON lost ground entering the back straight tailing off well back from the field to finish distant.  The greyhound WILLIE HOLDON underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the lumbar muscle and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

 

SUPER STING was tightened for racing room and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.

 

KING GUTHO tailed off to finish a distant last.  The greyhound KING GUTHO underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the near hind muscle and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

 

Race 8 – TGRC AUSTRALIA DAY TROPHY TSV FINAL  | OPEN | 498M

 

Even start.

 

General tightening occurred on the turn into the back straight resulting in POPPY CHOOY and LODGEMENT suffering interference and losing ground causing interference to RIMBA SAMBIA.

 

Race 9 – GREYHOUND ADOPTION PROGRAM | GRADE 4 | 380M

 

Even start.

 

GOAT and JOFFA’S MATE were tightened for racing room and lost ground shortly after the start.

 

BLACK RUSKY improved on to the heels of SCOTT HOOKED and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight causing interference to JOFFA’S MATE and GOAT.

 

The greyhound GOAT underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

Even start.

 

APPREHENSION was tightened for racing room and lost ground on the turn out of the back straight causing interference to SALUTE THE CLOUD.

 

RAPID STATE and NICMAC LASS bumped on the turn into the front straight causing inconvenience to both greyhounds.
