General:

Trainer G. Thomson was fined $50 under the provisions of GAR 39.3 for presenting Not The Norm to race with a weight variation outside the requirements of the Rules of Greyhound Racing.  Subsequently Not The Norm was a late scratching from Race 1.

1 Squamish – Slow to begin.

5 Winter's Storm – Slow to begin.  Raced wide into the front straight.

6 Regensburg – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

7 Zipping Sapphire – Checked off another runner in the back straight.

9 Treasury – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.  Raced wide into the front straight

Race 2 - GARRARDS HORSE & HOUND NOVICE 380m

1 Blinding Lights – Slow to begin.

2 Change Your Tune – Slow to begin.  Lost ground on the turn out of the back straight, tailed off to finish a distant last.  Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the off shoulder and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

3 Zipping Torah – Slow to begin.

8 Dundee Dancer – Checked off another runner in the back straight.

Race 3 - ANGLISS MEATS GRADE 5 380m

2 Good Old Sam – Slow to begin.

5 Rev Up Suzie – Checked off another runner on the turn into the front straight.

6 El Bakarly – Slow to begin.  Lost ground on the turn out of the back straight.  Tailed off to finish last.  Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained a sprain to the off wrist and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

8 Maggi Rose – Raced wide into the front straight.

Race 4 - JUST PERFECT KITCHENS FFA 498m

5 Billy Bottaluchi – Slow to begin.

Race 5 - JACK LYNCH 5TH GRADE HEAT 1 GRADE 5 498m

1 Jimary Jedi – Slow to begin. Checked off another runner on the turn into the back straight.  Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.  Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the off-hind hock and was stood down for a period of 28 days and a veterinary certificate prior to racing again.

2 Max The Maniac – Shifted out to race wide forcing another runner wide on the turn into the front straight.

3 Heather Bell – Slow to begin.  Checked off another runner on the turn into the back straight.

6 Salaam – Slow to begin.

7 Sketchy A Bit – Forced wide on the turn into the front straight by another runner

4 Riding Hood – Checked off another runner in the back straight. Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight. Underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

5 Red Solo Cup – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.  Underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. 

9 Man At Arms – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight and fell.  Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained lacerations to the off front leg and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

Race 7 - TOWNSVILLE YOUNG GUNS HEAT 2 OPEN 380m

1 Fabio Flash – Slow to begin.

2 Broken Halos – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.  Checked off heels and almost fell on the turn into the front straight.  Underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

3 Mali's Missile – Slow to begin.  Bumped another runner entering the front straight.

4 Excitable Jack – Bumped by another runner on the turn into the front straight. 

7 Elusive Missile – Checked from behind by another runner on the turn into the front straight.

8 Nudge Bar – Bumped another runner entering the front straight.  Shifted out and bumped another runner on the turn into the front straight. 

9 Mali's Deano – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

Race 8 - TOWNSVILLE YOUNG GUNS HEAT 3 OPEN 380m

1 Velocity Larni – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight,

r4 Yellow Heart – Tightened for racing room in the back straight.

5 Major Gibson – Tightened for racing room in the back straight.

7 Samshu – Checked off another runner in the back straight.

Race 9 - TESTEL TOWNSVILLE BEST 8 380m

1 Shake Up – Checked off another runner in the back straight.

3 Mali's Rocket – Checked off another runner on the turn into the front straight.  Raced wide into the front straight.

6 Super Hard – Tightened for racing room in the back straight.  Lost ground approaching the turn out of the back straight, tailed off to finish a distant last.  Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the off-hind leg muscle and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

8 Yuken Sunshine – Raced wide into the front straight,

Race 10 - WEE WIN KENNELS GRADE 4 380m

1 Georgia Pie – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

3 Bubbles And Brie – Tightened for racing room shortly after the start.  Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.  Raced wide into the front straight.

4 Town Tamer – Slow to begin. 

5 Thannhauser – Slow to begin.  Checked off another runner on the turn into the back straight. 

6 Dr. Rayna – Checked off another runner on the turn into the back straight.

7 Flyin' Scarlett – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight and fell.  Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the off-front wrist and was stood down for a period of 28 days and a veterinary certificate prior to racing again.

Race 12 - MCP RACING 5TH GRADE HEAT 3 GRADE 5 498m

1 All Too Fussed – Stewards questioned the racing manners of the greyhound, in particular on the turn into the front straight.  Subsequently, Stewards acting under the provisions of GAR 69A stood All Too Fussed down from racing for 28 days, a veterinary certificate and the completion of a satisfactory trial for failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

2 Blackened – Checked off another runner after turning out of the back straight. 

5 Bintang Bullet – Checked off another runner entering the back straight.

8 Highly Rated – Slow to begin.
