General:

Stewards inquired into an incident following the running of Race 7 on 24 November 2029 in relation to comments directed to steward D. Griffiths by trainer D. Taylor.

After hearing evidence from trainer D. Taylor in relation to same and the unavailability of steward D. Griffiths stewards noted Mr Taylor’s explanation for future reference.

Race 1 - TAB MAIDEN 380m

2 Parera Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

3 Inconsequential – tightened for racing room in the back straight.

4 Not The Norm – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

6 Rush For Roses – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

8 Treasury – Raced wide into the front straight.  Underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.  Trainer advised that it was her intention to retire the greyhound.

Race 2 - GARRARD'S HORSE & HOUND NOVICE 380m

2 Grand Mac – Slow to begin.

3 Change Your Tune – Slow to begin.  Knuckled over approaching the turn out of the back straight and lost considerable ground to finish a distant last.  Underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

8 Ebony Jay – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

Race 3 - ANGLISS MEATS GRADE 5 (1) 380m

2 Into Thin Air – Checked off another runner approaching the turn out of the back straight.

5 Beautiful Crazy – Checked off another runner in the back straight.

7 Jump Like One – Checked off another runner in the back straight.

8 Chisel Nibbs – Checked off another runner in the back straight.  Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

Race 4 - ALL RIG LIFTING & ENGINEERING GRADE 5 (1) 498m

4 Mali's Deano – Checked off another runner on the turn into the back straight.

8 Ava Surprise – Checked off another runner in the back straight.

Race 5 - MAREE MUDDIES GRADE 5 (2) 498m

2 Big Whiskey - Checked off another runner on the turn int the back straight.  Stewards questioned the racing manners of the greyhound, in particular, on the turn into the back straight.  After reviewing the film and speaking to the trainer, C. Wilcox, Stewards offered the greyhound the benefit of the doubt.

3 Sketchy A Bit – Knuckled over and lost ground approaching the turn out of the back straight.  Underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

4 Salaam – Checked off another runner on the turn into the back straight.

6 Zipping Homer – Checked off another runner on the turn into the back straight.

7 Bintang Bullet – Slow to begin.

Race 6 - HUNNY POT NQ 5TH GRADE FINAL GRADE 5 380m

1 Stilton Mary – Slow to begin.  Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

2 Quinn Bale – Checked from behind by another runner prior to the finish line.

3 Reign Hail Shine – Slow to begin.  Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.  Checked off another runner on the turn into the front straight.

4 Despite – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.  Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained a laceration to the left front stopper pad and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

7 Rev Up Zeus – Checked from behind by another runner on the turn into the front straight. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained a laceration to the right front stopper pad and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

8 Little Jacob – Improved on to heels prior to the finish line.

Race 7 - NORTH QUEENSLAND CUP FINAL OPEN 498m

1 Over Time – Checked off another runner on the turn into the back straight.

2 Murphy Rumble - Checked off another runner on the turn into the back straight.

3 Gold Assassin - Checked off another runner on the turn into the back straight.

5 Bubbles And Brie - Checked off another runner on the turn into the back straight.  Checked off another runner entering the back straight.  Underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

7 Awesome Alex - Checked off another runner on the turn into the back straight.  Checked off another runner entering the back straight.

8 Georgia Pie - Checked off another runner on the turn into the back straight.

Race 8 - TUCKER FERGUSON BEST 8 380m

2 Excitable Jack – Slow to begin.

3 Billy Bottaluchi – Tightened for racing room in the back straight.

5 Ted's Glory – Tightened for racing room in the back straight.

8 Sprightly Bro – Slow into stride as the start was affected.  Checked off another runner and fell on the turn out of the back straight.  Underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

Race 9 - GJ GARDNER HOMES GRADE 4 380m

1 Town Tamer – Slow to begin.

4 Mac Zephyr - Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

5 Super Hard – Tightened for racing room approaching the turn out of the back straight.  Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

6 Johnny Dark – Slow to begin. Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

7 Mali's Millions – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

Race 10 - NANCY MAYNARD MIXED 4/5 380m

1 On The Buses – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

2 Maggi Rose – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.  Raced wide into the front straight.

4 Heza Rapscallion – Tightened for racing room in the back straight.  Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight and fell.  Underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

5 Prawn Boat – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

Race 11 - IMS ELECTRICAL GRADE 5 (2) 380m

1 Riding Hood – Tightened for racing room in the back straight.  Checked from behind by another runner after turning out of the back straight.  Underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

2 Rob's Gift – Slow to begin. 

3 Patty Talks – Slow to begin.  Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.  Checked across heels on the turn into the front straight.

5 Red Solo Cup - Slow to begin. Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

7 Hot Wild Roses – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

8 Heart's A Mess – Checked off heels after turning out of the back straight.

Race 12 - LOUNDS FRESH SEAFOOD GRADE 5 (3) 380m

3 Friendly Shadows – Marginally slow to begin.  Bumped another runner in the front straight.

4 Irinka Max – Checked off another runner in the back straight.

5 She's Sassy – Checked off another runner in the back straight.

6 Broken Halos – Tightened for racing room in the back straight.  Checked off another runner on the turn into the front straight.

7 Twenty Dollars – Bumped another runner in the front straight.

8 Aquarius Girl – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.  Shifted out to race wide and checked another runner on the tun into the front straight.
