General:

Trainer P. Smith was fined $100 under the provisions of GAR 39.3 for presenting Looming Lara to race in Race 4 with a weight variation outside the requirements of the Rules of Greyhound Racing.  Subsequently, Looming Lara was a late scratching from the race.

Race 1 - Tab Maiden 380m

1 All Image – Marginally slow to begin.  Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

3 Squamish – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

4 Turn The Key – Marginally slow to begin.  Checked off a fallen runner and fell on the turn out of the back straight.  Underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

5 Broken Free – Checked off heels and fell on the turn out of the back straight  Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the right front triceps and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

6 Betsy Bobbin – Stewards questioned the raceing manners of the greyhound, in particular, the turn  into the front straight.  Subsequently Betsy Bobbin was stood down from racing under the provisions of GAR 69 .1 (marring) for 28 days and the completion of a satisfactory trial

7 Wahroonga Lass – Suffered severe interference from another runner on turn into the front straight.

Race 2 - Garrards Horse & Hounds Novice 380m

1 Silly Billy – Marginally slow to begin.

3 Over Exposed – Checked off another runner shortly after the start.

4 Grand Mac – Slow to begin.  Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

7 Waetea – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

Race 3 - Angliss Meats 0-2 Wins 498m

1 Goddess Of Speed – Checked off another runner in the back straight.

2 Predicate – Checked off another runner on the turn into the back straight.

3 Mysterious Molly – Bumped another runner shortly after the start.  Checked off another runner entering the back straight.

4 Ebony Jay – Bumped another runner shortly after the start.

5 Inconsequential – Bumped another runner shortly after the start.  Bumped and checked off another runner on the turn into the back straight.

7 Jump Like One – Bumped another runner on the turn into the back straight.

Race 4 - Organic Solutions Australia Grade 5 498m

No racing incidents.

Race 5 - Arthur Mcmahon Training Grade 5 380m

8 Midnight Bella – Raced wide into the front straight.  Stewards questioned the racing manners of the greyhound in particular in the front straight.  Subsequently Midnight Bella was stood down from racing under the provisions of GAR 69A for a period of 28 days and the completion of a satisfactory trial for failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  The trainer advised that it was his intention to retire the greyhound.

Race 6 - Bohle Ice Mixed 4/5 380m

5 Town Tamer - Underwent a pre-race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

6 Little Red Wagon – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

7 Rev Up Zeus – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

8 Heart's A Mess – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

Race 7 - Harold Hovi Grade 4 380m

2 Yellow Heart – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.  Underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

3 Maggi Rose – Raced wide into the front straight.

8 What Expiry – Checked from behind by another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

Race 8 - Premium Glass Fencing 4/5 Grade Final Mixed 4/5 380m

2 Midnight Memphis – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

4 Friendly Shadows – Tightened for racing room in the back straight.

6 Osmonds Wish – Slow to begin.

Race 9 - Mali Ardle Racing Best 8 380m

1 Early Promise – Checked off another runner on the turn into the front straight.

2 Dyna Waqa – Checked off another runner on the turn into the front straight.

Race 10 - Rambutan Kennels Grade 5 380m

1 Wild Sail – Slow to begin.  Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

2 Winsome Fever – Slow to begin.  Checked from behind by another runner on the turn out of the back straight.  Underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

3 Little Jacob – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

4 Late Night Kebab – Slow to begin.

5 Jimary Ranger – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.
