General:

 

Trainer P. Smith was fined $100 under the provisions of GAR 39.3 for presenting Zipping Red to race with a weight variation outside the requirements of the Rules of Greyhound Racing.  Subsequently Zipping Red was a late scratching from Race 2.

Race 1 - TAB MAIDEN 380m

 

2 Next Stop – Tightened for racing room in the back straight.  Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

 

6 Not The Norm – Checked from behind by another runner on the turn out of the back straight.  Forced wide and checked by another runner on the turn into the front straight.  Hampered by another runner for the majority of the front straight.

 

8 Regensburg – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight. Shifted out and marred another runner on the turn into the front straight and continued for most of the front straight.  Stewards acting under the provisions of GAR 69 stood Regensburg down from racing for a period of 3 months and the completion of a satisfactory trial for marring, second offence.

 

 

Race 2 - GARRARDS HORSE & HOUND NOVICE 380m

 

1 Canya Prince – Slow to begin.  Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.  Shifted out across heels to race wide into the front straight.  Underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

3 King Cabang – Marginally slow to begin.  Tightened for racing room in the back straight.  Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained a minor laceration to the off hind foot, no penalty.

 

7 Over Exposed – Slow to begin.

 

 

Race 3 - ANGLISS MEATS 0-2 WINS 498m

 

1 Mr. Mendoza – Bumped another runner in the front straight.

 

2 Turn The Key – Bumped another runner in the front straight.

 

4 Highly Rated – Slow to begin.  Shifted out to race wide into the front straight.

 

 

 

Race 4 - JUST PERFECT KITCHENS BEST 8 380m

 

1 Super Hard – Checked off another runner turning out of the back straight.  Bumped by another runner and forced wide on the turn into the front straight.

 

2 Magnolia Wind – Shifted out bumping another runner on the turn into the front straight.

 

3 Flying Tornado – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

 

4 Septimo – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

 

6 Awesome Alex – Tightened for racing room in the back straight.  Checked off another runner in the back straight.  Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

 

8 Ted's Glory – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

 

 

Race 5 - JACK LYNCH 5PW 380m

 

1 Lucky Jay – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

 

3 Dr. Grayson – Checked off another runner on the turn into the front straight.

 

4 Winsome Fever – Slow to begin.  Checked off another runner in the back straight.  Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained a strain to the off front triceps and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

 

8 Wild Sail – Checked off another runner in the turn out of the back straight.

 

 

Race 6 - TESTEL TOWNSVILLE GRADE 5 (1) 380m

 

4 Bora Zipper – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.  Checked off another runner on the turn into the front straight.  Underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

5 Lektra Midnight – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

 

6 Blinding Lights - Underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

7 Heart's A Mess – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.  Underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

 

Race 7 - WEE WIN KENNELS GRADE 5 (2) 380m

 

1 Looming Lara – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.  Raced wide on the turn out of the back straight and continued wide into the front straight.

 

2 Dutch Ambition – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

 

4 Jindivick – Checked off another runner after turning out of the back straight.

 

6 Savannah Sun – Checked off another runner after turning out of the back straight.

 

8 Velocity Larni – Checked off another runner after turning out of the back straight.

2 Diva Valentine – Checked off another runner on the turn into the front straight.  Bumped another runner on the turn into the front straight.  Bumped another runner in the front straight.

 

3 Salaam – Tightened for racing room in the back straight.  Bumped another runner and became unbalanced in the front straight.

 

7 Red Solo Cup – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

 

8 Quinn Bale – Bumped and checked off another runner on the turn into the front straight.

 

 

Race 10 - ANIMAL PET & TRAVEL A PAT MIXED 4/5 380m

 

1 Mali's Millions – Marginally slow to begin.  Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.  Stewards questioned the racing manner of Mali’s Millions in particular on the turn out of the back straight.  After hearing evidence from trainer H. Ardle and from viewing the film, Stewards afforded the benefit of a very grave doubt in relation to the chasing manners of the greyhound.

 

2 Rocket Jax – Marginally slow to begin.  Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

 

3 Twenty Dollars – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.
