Trainer G. Thomson was fined $100 under the provisions of GAR 39.3 for presenting Henryk Bale to race with a weight variation outside the requirements of the Rules of Greyhound Racing. Subsequently Henryk Bale was a late scratching from Race 2.

5 Beast Of Burden – Slow to begin.

8 May Do – Slow into stride as the start was affected. Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

9 Joseph Bardy – Slow to begin. Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

Race 2 - GARRARDS HORSE & HOUND NOVICE | 380m

8 Aston Winnie – Checked off another runner becoming unbalanced and almost falling on the turn out of the back straight. Underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

6 Diva Valentine – Checked off another runner on the turn into the back straight. Underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

Stewards questioned trainer M Hickmott in relation to the poor performance of the dog compared to previous form. Mr hickmott explained that the dog does not show its best from behind and after suffering interference in the early stages of the race, ended up last. He also stated that he would consider starting the dog over a shorter distance in future races. Me Hickmott could offer no other explanation for the performance of the dog tonight. Mr Hickmott was advised that should he find anything amiss with the dog over the coming days to advise the stewards of same. Mr Hickmott’s explanations were noted.

7 Stratford – Checked off another runner on the turn into the back straight. Underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

8 Super Hard – Checked off another runner entering the back straight.
