Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the left hind muscle and was stood down for a period of 10 days. Stewards questioned the racing manners of the greyhound, in particular in the front straight. Subsequently Stewards acting under the provisions of GAR 69A stood Broken Free down from racing for a period of 3 months and the completion of a satisfactory trial for failing to pursue the lure in the front straight, (second offence)

The starting boxes failed to open on the first occasion. All starters were removed from the boxes and checked by the veterinarian. All were passed fit to start.
The race was delayed 4 minutes due to checks and testing of the boxes. A start was affected on the second occasion
