General:

Trainer Greta Thomson was fined $100.00 under the provisions of GAR 86.o for boxing Freeney in the incorrect box in Race 2.  Freeney was removed and boxed correctly prior to the start of the race.

Race 1 - TAB MAIDEN 380m

1 Sharayu – Slow to begin.  Checked off another runner on the turn into the front straight.

2 Core Lit Insane – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

3 Amelina - Stewards questioned the racing manners of the greyhound in particular after turning out of the back straight.  A veterinary examination of the greyhound revealed an injury to the near hind muscle.  Subsequently, Stewards acting under the provisions of GAR 69B, stood Amelina down from racing for a period of 10 days and the completion of a satisfactory trial for failing to pursue the lure with injury. 

8 Aston Merlot – Raced wide into the front straight.

Race 2 - GARRARDS HORSE & HOUND NOVICE 380m

2 Abandon – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

3 Freeney – Tightened for racing room approaching the turn out of the back straight.  Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

7 Eat My Smoke – Checked off another runner on the turn into the front straight.

8 Henryk Bale – Slow into stride as the start was affected.

Race 3 - ANGLISS MEATS MIXED 4/5 380m

3 Chanticleer – Fell after the finish line. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained minor skin lacerations to both front legs.  No penalty.

4 Osmonds Wish – Slow to begin.

6 Red Solo Cup – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

7 Ted's Glory – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

8 Aston Aurora – Raced wide into the front straight.

Race 4 - JUST PERFECT KITCHENS GRADE 5 (1) 380m

The start of the race was amended to 12.20 and all remaining races put back by one race due to problems with the lure.

1 Beautiful Crazy - Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the off hind muscle and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

4 Blinding Lights – Tightened for racing room in the back straight.  Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

6 Old Station Star – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

Race 5 - JACK LYNCH 0-2 WINS 498m

The start of the race was delayed 1 minute due to thoroughbred racing.

4 Highly Rated – Slow to begin.  Bumped and checked off another runner on the turn into the front straight.

5 Polly's Magic – Checked off another runner on the turn into the back straight.

6 Uncatchable Girl – Checked off another runner on the turn into the back straight.  Bumped another runner on the turn into the front straight.

7 Swift Sharni – Checked off another runner on the turn into the back straight.

Race 6 - TESTEL TOWNSVILLE GRADE 5 (2) 380m

2 Broken Halos – Raced wide into the front straight.

6 Heart's A Mess – Tightened for racing room in the back straight.  Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the off hind muscle and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

8 Despite – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

Race 7 - WEE WIN KENNELS GRADE 4 380m

1 Elusive Missile – Slow to begin.  Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

2 Rob's Gift – Slow to begin.  Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

4 Yellow Heart – Slow to begin.  Checked off another runner and fell on the turn out of the back straight.  Underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

5 Quinn Bale – Stewards questioned the racing manners of the greyhound, in particular the front straight.  After viewing the film and taking evidence from trainer P. Smith the Stewards afforded the benefit of some doubt in relation to the greyhounds racing manners.

8 Mighty Option – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

Race 8 - KEYFLO MIXED 4/5 498m

3 Dyna Waqa – Checked off another runner on the turn into the front straight.

4 Sketchy A Bit – Checked off another runner on the turn into the front straight.

5 Guard Of Honour – Checked off another runner on the turn into the front straight.

8 Zipping Coby – Slow to begin.

Race 9 - MCP RACING BEST 8 380m

1 Editor – Slow to begin.

4 Firefly Star – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

6 Super Hard – Tightened for racing room in the back straight.

7 Stratford – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.
