General: Stewards inquired into a complaint lodged by the starter in relation to comments made by trainer A. Wooler behind the starting boxes prior to the commencement of Race 8. After hearing evidence from both parties, Stewards deemed that no further action was required. |

3 Quinn Bale – Checked off another runner and fell after turning out of the back straight. Underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

5 Sure Moment – Lost ground in the back straight, tailed off failing to finish the race. Underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. Stewards questioned the racing manners of the greyhound in particular the back straight. Subsequently Stewards acting under the provisions of GAR 69A stood Sure Moment down from racing for a period of 28 days and the completion of a satisfactory trial for failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. The trainer advised Stewards that it his intention to retire the greyhound. |
