General:
Trainer J. La Rosa pleaded guilty to a charge under the provisions of GAR 84B and was fined $500 for having in his possession a prohibited item, namely a syringe, which was found following a search of his vehicles by stewards.  Substances seized by the stewards were confiscated and sent for analysis. Trainer M. Heilbronn pleaded guilty to a charge under the provisions of GAR 84B and was fined $500 for having in his possession a prohibited item, namely a syringe, which was found following a search of his vehicles by stewards.  Substances seized by the stewards were confiscated and sent for analysis. Stewards questioned trainer A. Gosper in relation to substances found in his possession following a search of his vehicles conducted by stewards.  Mr Gosper advised stewards that he had treated the greyhound What a Bomber in transit to the track.  Subsequently stewards acting under the provisions of GAR 83A scratched What a Bomber from Race 7 and a swab sample was taken from the greyhound.  Substances seized by the stewards were confiscated and sent for analysis.

1 Windaroo Tavern – Slow to begin.  Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight, 2 Battle – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight. 3 Turn The Key – Shifted out to race wide in the front straight. 4 Alarm Response – Bumped by another runner on the turn into the front straight.  Shifted in across heels in the front straight. 5 Carrow Road – Tightened for racing room in the back straight.  Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight 7 Artanis – Checked across heels and bumped another runner on turn into the front straight.
Race 5 – IDOL EYES STAYERS CHALLENGE FINAL OPEN 643m
1 Stand In Mail – Knuckled over and lost ground as the start was affected. 3 Zipping Homer – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight. 4 Mali's Rocket – Shifted out across heels on the turn into the back straight. 7 Split Sound – Bumped and checked off another runner shortly after the start. 8 Old Station Star – Fell in the catching pen. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.
Race 6 – WESEAL TOWNSVILLE CUP (G3) CONSOLATION OPEN 498m
2 Miss Verity – Raced wide in the front straight. 4 Copper Canyon – Tightened for racing room shortly after the start.  Checked off another runner in the back straight. 6 Sleek Rumble – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight. 8 Naturally Gifted – Raced wide in the front straight.
Race 7 – TGOBTA NORTH QUEENSLAND SPRINT FINAL OPEN 380m
1 Borneo Bandit – Slow into stride as the start was affected.  Checked off another runner in the back straight. 3 Silent Key – Checked by another runner in the back straight. 4 Rum And Hustle – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight. 5 John Strachin – Raced wide in the front straight.

Race 11 – JUST PERFECT KITCHENS MIXED 4/5 380m 1 Blackpool Alfie – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight. 3 Happy Hornet – Checked off heels, became unbalanced and bumped another runner on the turn into the front straight. 6 Jay Jay Kersey - Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the near hind muscle and was stood down for a period of 10 days. 7 Mickey Two Rums – Bumped and checked by another runner on the turn into the front straight.
Race 12 – CIGNALL GARBUTT GRADE 5 (2) 380m
1 Night Like This – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight. 4 Mali's Whitey – Checked off another runner in the back straight. 9 Chinderah Myth (3) – Tightened for racing room in the back straight.  Raced wide into the front straight.
