General:

Trainer H. Ardle was fined $100 under the provisions of GAR 39.3 for presenting Mali’s Pass to race with a weight variation outside the requirements of the Rules of Greyhound Racing.  Subsequently Mali’s Pass was a late scratching from Race 9.

Race 1 - TAB MAIDEN 380m

1 Man Of Mine – Slow to begin.  Tailed off to finish a distant last.  Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained a sprain to the off hind tarsal and was stood down for a period of 10 days.  Trainer’s representative advised Stewards that it was the trainer’s intention to retire the greyhound.

3 Bundy Run – Slow to begin.  Raced wide into the front straight.

8 May Do – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

Race 2 - GARRARD'S HORSE & HOUND NOVICE 380m

1 Happy Rumble – Slow to begin.  Bumped another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

3 Mrs. Doubtfire – Slow to begin.  Bumped by another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

Race 3 - ANGLISS MEATS GRADE 4 380m

2 Muriel Tarantino – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

4 Salaam – Bumped another runner and became unbalanced, shifting out bumping another runner shortly after the start.

8 Rob's Gift – Tailed off to finish last.  Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the near hind muscle and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

Race 4 - JUST PERFECT KITCHENS GRADE 5 (1) 380m

1 Blinding Lights – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.  Bumped another runner entering the front straight.

3 Mejorar – Improved on to heels on the turn into the front straight.

7 Mighty Option – Checked off another runner entering the front straight.

8 Burning Up – Checked from behind by another runner on the turn into the front straight.  Bumped another runner entering the front straight.  Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

Race 5 - JACK LYNCH GRADE 5 (2) 380m

1 Twenty Dollars – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.  Shifted out and checked another runner on the turn into the front straight.  Continued to shift out bumping another runner entering the front straight.

4 Misunderstood – Slow to begin.

7 Blackpool Alfie – Checked by another runner on the turn into the front straight.

8 Cryptic Diamond – Checked by another runner after turning out of the back straight.  Bumped and forced wide by another runner entering the front straight.

Race 6 - TESTEL TOWNSVILLE BEST 8 380m

2 Mel's Gift – Tightened for racing room in the back straight.

8 Inconsequential – Raced wide in the back straight.

Race 7 - WEE WIN KENNELS 0-4 WINS 498m

3 Night Like This – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

6 Raw Attitude – Slow to begin.  Raced wide in the back straight.

7 Stitches – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

Race 8 - KEYFLO MIXED 4/5 380m

1 Old Station Star – Slow to begin.

2 Rumble Rose – Slow to begin.

6 Mason Rocks – Slow to begin.  Raced wide in the front straight.

7 Majestic Diva – Checked off another runner approaching the turn out of the back straight.

Race 9 - MCP RACING GRADE 5 (1) 380m

2 Closer To Rain – Checked off another runner after turning out of the back straight.  Shifted out across heels on the turn into the front straight.

5 Mali's Cookie – Checked off another runner after turning out of the back straight.

8 Broken Halos – Checked off another runner after turning out of the back straight.

Race 10 - ANIMAL PET & TRAVEL A PAT GRADE 5 (2) 380m

3 Velocity Larni – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

7 Endless Ability - Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained a torn near hind toe nail.  No penalty.

8 Freeney – Checked off another runner on the turn into the front straight.
