General:
Electricity Supply Authority had a power failure in the area which included the racetrack. Power was lost prior to 08.30 and at noon the power had still not been restored and the Supply Authority could give no definite time that power would be restored.
Following discussions with Racing Queensland and considering the welfare of the greyhounds who were kennelled in a fully enclosed kennel block with no air-conditioning, Stewards abandoned the meeting at 12.20 still with no power to the grounds and the Supply Authority unable to advise when the power would be restored. |
