General:

Trainer J. Newnham was fined $100 under the provisions of GAR 39.3 for presenting JONI RUDDERLESS to race with a weight variation outside the requirements of the Rules of Greyhound Racing.  Subsequently JONI RUDDERLESS was a late scratching from Race 1.

1 Miss Ida – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

3 Finch's Finch – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.  Raced wide into the front straight.

5 Terindah Swifty – Checked off another runner shortly after the start.

6 Mali's Thylacine – Slow to begin.

7 Matty's On Fire – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

Race 2 - LOVESY & WAWA MAIDEN (2) 380m

1 Wasteman Wayne – Stewards questioned the racing manner of the greyhound, in particular the front straight.  Subsequently after reviewing the film and speaking to the trainer’s representative, Wasteman Wayne was stood down from racing for a period of 28 days and the completion of a satisfactory trial for failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.

3 Semiyon – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight,

8 Zulu Vixen – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

Race 3 - SMITHY'S LOCAL CONVENIENCE NOVICE 380m

3 Dotti Girl – Slow to begin.

4 Paw To Floor – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

5 Semper – Slow to begin.

8 Return To Me – Slow to begin.  Tailed off to finish last.  Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.  Stewards queried the performance of the greyhound today compared to its winning performance on 29 January 2022.  Trainer, J. Newnham, stated that the greyhound prefers the inside running and Box 8 does not suit the greyhound as shown with today’s performance.  Mrs Newnham’s explanation was noted.

Race 4 - BURDEKIN VET CLINIC 5PW 380m

1 Mali's Bullet – Checked across heels entering the front straight.

2 Four Deep – Slow to begin.

6 Blinding Lights – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

Race 5 – TGBOT 0-4 WINS 498m

2 Plain And Simple – Tightened for racing room on the turn into the front straight.  Checked from behind by another runner on the turn into the front straight.

4 My Envy – Slow to begin.  Raced wide in the back straight.

5 Mali's Here Blue – Checked off another runner on the turn into the back straight.  Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.  Checked off heels on the turn into the front straight.

7 Mali's Whitey – Checked off another runner on the turn into the back straight.

Race 6 - #JCOOL AIRCONDITIONING MIXED 3/4 380m

1 Muriel Tarantino – Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.

2 Harmon Bale – Tightened for racing room shortly after the start.  Checked off another runner on the turn out of the back straight.  Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

3 Balts Agenda – Tightened for racing room shortly after the start.  Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the near front leg muscle and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

5 Velocity Larni – Tightened for racing room shortly after the start.  Raced wide in the front straight.

Race 7 - JUDY OLSEN BEST 8 380m

1 Gnarley Time – Slow to begin.  Bumped by another runner and raced wide on the turn into the front straight.

4 Zipping Vin – Bumped another runner on the turn into the front straight.

6 Winter Ghost – Forced wide by another runner on the turn into the front straight.  Fell in the catching pen.  Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

8 My Bro Benji – Shifted out across heels forcing another runner wide on the turn into the front straight.

Race 8 – NOT BUSY KENNEL MIXED 4/5 498m

7 Georgio Bale – Checked off another runner on the turn into the back straight.

8 Squamish – Checked off another runner entering the back straight.

Race 9 - PING THE LIDS RACING  GRADE 5 (1) 380m
