Underwent a post-race veterinary examination that revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainer Ms Bobbie-Jean Chaffey regarding the performance of Impress Troy. After reviewing the video footage of the race, it was observed that the greyhound took a few awkward strides and almost knuckled over shortly after the start losing considerable ground. After the slow start the greyhound failed to make up any ground on the field. Ms Chaffey advised Stewards that this was the second race start from her kennel for Impress Troy and expected that the greyhound would perform much better in today’s race. It was also noted that the greyhound races best on the lure rather than at the tail of the field. Stewards noted the explanation and took no further action. |
