General: Stewards opened an inquiry after kennel staff reported they had found several peanuts in the racing kennel of What A Bomber. Trainer Mr Arthur Gosper provided Stewards a plausible explanation to the most likely cause of how the greyhound would have had peanuts in its digestive system. A swab sample was taken from What A Bomber for analysis and the inquiry will resume once the outcome of the swab sample has been provided.

Race 1 - MCP RACING MAIDEN 380m

2 Remedy – Tightened for racing room rounding the first turn and was checked losing ground.

5 That's Hectic – Slow to begin. Became unbalanced rounding the first turn and lost considerable ground. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination that revealed no apparent abnormalities. Trainer Mr Heath Ardle advised Stewards that the greyhound was resuming after two months off due to minor surgery. Mr H Ardle will have That’s Hectic checked over tomorrow and will report back any findings to Stewards.

7 Stolen Gold – Slow to begin.

8 Jingalong Lotte – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn and lost ground.  Checked off the heels of another runner approaching the home turn.

Race 2 - BROOK HEATH NOVICE 380m

1 Karaoke Queen – Checked off the heels of another runner approaching the first turn and lost ground.

3 Piper's Band – Tightened for racing room rounding the first turn and was checked losing ground.

4 Annie's Princess – Tightened for racing room shortly after the start and was checked losing ground. Raced wide rounding the first turn.

7 Big Ram – Tightened for racing room rounding the first turn and was checked losing ground.

9 She's Our Cruze (2) – Checked off the heels of another runner shortly after the start.

Race 3 - SHOWTIME LODGE @ CHURCHABLE GRADE 4 380m

1 Pistols At Dawn – Checked off the heels of another runner approaching the first turn. Shifted out and race wide in the home straight.

2 New To Me – Tightened for racing room rounding the first turn and was checked losing ground.

3 Showtime Caesar – Checked off the heels of another runner shortly after the start.

4 Zena Arena – Tightened for racing room shortly after the start and was checked losing ground. Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn.

5 Iron Lad – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn and lost ground.

Race 4 - GREYHOUNDS MAKE GREAT PETS MIXED 3/4 380m

3 Aston Mireya – Tired in the concluding stages of the race to finish in last place. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination that revealed no apparent abnormalities. Trainer Mr Scott Atkinson advised Stewards that Aston Mireya was resuming after 5 weeks from being on season and would expect further improvement after tonight’s run. Stewards noted the explanation.

4 Seat's Taken – Checked off the heels of another runner shortly after the start. Tightened for racing room rounding the first turn.

Race 5 – TAB MIXED 4/5 498m

1 Balts Assassin – Slow to begin. Checked off the heels of another runner shortly after the start. Checked off the heels of another runner in the back straight. Raced wide rounding the turn off the back straight.

4 Piazza Minerva – Checked off the heels of another runner shortly after the start. Clipped on the heels by another runner in the back straight. Raced wide rounding the home turn.

5 Aston Rupiah – Bumped several times with another runner rounding the home turn.

8 Amarillo Slim – Raced wide in the back straight.

9 Polarizer (3) – Bumped several times with another runner rounding the home turn.

Race 6 - NORTH QUEENSLAND CUP (L) HEAT 1 OPEN 498m

3 Say Some Words – Tightened for racing room rounding the first turn and was checked losing ground.

4 Alert – Checked off the heels of another runner shortly after the start.

6 Paw Baby – Raced wide rounding the home turn and throughout the remainder of the race.

7 Inconsequential – Bumped by another runner and forced to race wide rounding the first turn.

Race 7 - NORTH QUEENSLAND CUP (L) HEAT 2 OPEN 498m

2 Paulie Walnuts – Bumped with another runner rounding the first turn.

3 Balts Orson – Bumped with another runner rounding the first turn. Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the home turn.

4 Golden Rule – Slow to begin.

6 Miss Priddle – Raced wide in the back straight. Raced wide through the home turn.

7 Henryk Bale – Bumped with another runner shortly after the start. Clipped on the heels by another runner leaving the first turn.

8 Off Break – Bumped by another runner shortly after the start and became momentarily unbalanced. Checked off the heels of another runner leaving the first turn.

Race 8 - NORTH QUEENSLAND CUP (L) HEAT 3 OPEN 498m

4 Young Rob – Tightened for racing room rounding the first turn and was checked losing ground. Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the turn off the back straight.

6 Galileo Brae – Tightened for racing room rounding the first turn and was checked losing ground.

7 Redemption Day – Tightened for racing room rounding the first turn and was checked losing ground. Checked off the heels of another runner in the back straight.

Race 9 - MAGIC CARPET CLEANING BEST 8 380m

2 Just Too Fancy – Checked off the heels of another runner shortly after the start.

5 Limitless Speed – Checked off the heels of another runner shortly after the start.

7 Fancy Kelly – Tightened for racing room rounding the first turn and was checked losing ground.

Race 10 - SKIPS TRANSPORT MIXED 4/5 380m

1 Gunnadoo Avenue – Slow to begin.

5 Never Cry – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn and lost ground. Raced wide in the home straight.

6 Canya Beth – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn and lost ground. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination that revealed no apparent abnormalities.

Race 11 - TUCKER FERGUSON GRADE 5 (1) 380m

2 Hidden Radar – Slow to begin.

4 Mali's Bullet – Tightened for racing room approaching the first turn and was checked losing ground.

5 Big Bad Bruce – Tightened for racing room approaching the first turn and was checked losing ground. Shifted in a contacted the running rail rounding the first turn. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination that revealed no apparent abnormalities.

7 Shian Quinn – Checked off the heels of another runner shortly after the start. Raced wide rounding the home turn and throughout the remainder of the race.

Race 12 - KOOPA OLSEN GRADE 5 (2) 380m

4 Blackpool Rex – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn and lost ground. Checked off the heels of another runner approaching the home turn. Bumped heavily with another runner rounding the home turn and became momentarily unbalanced.   Fell in the catching pen after the race had concluded. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination that revealed no apparent abnormalities.

5 Wolf Hall – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn and lost ground.

7 Illegal Tender – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn and lost ground. Bumped heavily with another runner rounding the home turn and became momentarily unbalanced.

8 Shane's Pick – Slow to begin. Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn and lost ground.
