General:  Due to a mechanical issue with the lure, the races were pushed back one time slot to allow for remedial work to be completed and the lure to be tested. Race 1 @ 11:57am and race 12 @ 3:52pm

Race 1 - BELFORD KENNELS MAIDEN 380m

1 King Amar – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn and lost ground.

2 Secret Hustle – Bumped with another runner shortly after the start.

3 Smiling Walnut – Improved onto the heels of another runner rounding the home turn.

4 Jingalong Lotte – Bumped with another runner shortly after the start. Clipped on the heels by another runner rounding the first turn.

6 My Mate Nev – Dragged down by another runner rounding the home turn.

7 Gem's Best – Raced wide throughout the back straight. Raced wide throughout the home straight.

8 Ginger Jess – Slow to begin.

9 That's Hectic (5) – Slow to begin.

Race 2 - TAB NOVICE 380m

2 Annie's Princess – Bumped with another runner several times rounding the first turn. Shifted wide abruptly while rounding the home turn. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no apparent abnormalities.

3 Drop Anchor – Bumped with another runner several times rounding the first turn.

4 Remedy – Tightened for racing room shortly after the start and was checked.

6 Midnight Holly – Improved onto the heels of another runner rounding the first turn.

Race 3 - # JCOOL AIR CONDITIONING MA5 380m

4 Joni Rudderless – Bumped with another runner rounding the first turn.

5 Astor – Bumped with another runner rounding the first turn.

Race 4 - PETER JEPSON MEDIA SERVICES MIXED 3/4 380m

1 Canya Whisper – Raced in restricted room rounding the first turn being checked and becoming unbalanced for several strides. Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the home turn.

3 Showtime Joe – Raced in restricted room rounding the first turn.

4 Trixie Rigatoni – Bumped heavily with another runner rounding the first turn.

5 Savage Victor – Bumped heavily with another runner rounding the first turn. Checked off another runner and was dragged down rounding the home turn.

8 Big Jim Buzz – Tightened between runners and was checked while rounding the home turn.

Race 5 - SHOWTIME LODGE @ CHURCHABLE 0-3 WINS 498m

3 Miss Von Strudel – Clipped on the heels by another runner rounding the first turn. Shifted wider and bumped with another runner in the back straight.

5 She's Our Cruze – Tightened for racing room and was checked rounding the first turn.

6 Shian Freddy – Bumped by another runner in the back straight becoming momentarily unbalanced. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no apparent abnormalities.

7 Blazing Infrared – Slow to begin.

Race 6 - GREYHOUNDS MAKE GREAT PETS GRADE 5 498m

2 Showtime Smiley – Tightened for racing room shortly after the start and was checked. Checked off another runner rounding the first turn.

4 Annabelle Rocks – Lost ground in clear running throughout the back straight. Dragged down by another runner approaching the second turn. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed an injury to the offside hindleg and subsequently was stood down from racing for a period of 10 days.

5 Jackie Chiles – Improved onto the heels of another runner approaching the second turn.

6 Wild Rumour – Clipped on the heels by another runner rounding the first turn.

7 Princess Waters – Raced wide through the home straight.

8 Patty's Regret – Slow to begin. Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn.

Race 7 - BURDEKIN VET SERVICE MIXED 4/5 498m

1 Mali's Whitey – Slow to begin.

2 Shiro Kuma – Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout the back straight.

3 Alert – Slow to begin. Tightened for racing room shortly after the start and was checked.

4 Mali's Gonzales – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the home turn.

8 New To Me – Slow to begin. Tightened for racing room shortly after the start and was checked.

Race 8 - KAYLEN HEATH MIXED 1/2 380m

3 Daisy Moments – Checked across the heels of another runner rounding the home turn.

6 Miss Priddle – Raced wide throughout the home straight.

7 Rum And Hustle – Clipped on the heels by another runner rounding the home turn.

Race 9 - DANIEL MILES GRADE 4 380m

1 Showtime Caesar – Marginally slow to begin. Tightened for racing room rounding the first turn and was checked.  

3 Pistols At Dawn – Bumped with another runner shortly after the start. Tightened for racing room rounding the first turn and was checked.

4 Rev Up Zeus – Bumped with another runner shortly after the start.

5 Lagoon Camile – Marginally slow to begin. Weakened visibly in the home straight, appearing to have sustained an injury. Fell after the race had concluded. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed the greyhound to be dehydrated. Subsequently the greyhound was administered fluids via IV drip and stood down from racing for a period of 10 days. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr Gary Farrell regarding the performance of the greyhound at today’s meeting. Mr Farrell advised that he has only had the greyhound in his kennel for 10 days and believes that it may not have fully climatised to the conditions of North Queensland. Mr Farrell stated that he intends to not race the greyhound for a month to allow time for it to further acclimatise.

7 Blackpool Rex – Marginally slow to begin.

Race 10 - CAIRNS OWNERS & TRAINERS GRADE 5 (1) 380m

1 Showtime Ella – Checked off the heels of another runner approaching the first turn. Raced wide throughout the home straight.

2 Harlem Shuffle – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn.

3 Zarr Oso – Heavily checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no apparent abnormalities.

5 Barefoot Di – Clipped on the heels by another runner rounding the first turn. Forced to race in restricted room rounding the home turn and was checked.

6 Balts Obsession – Clipped on the heels by another runner approaching the first turn. Made contact with the running rail while rounding the first turn. Clipped on the heels by another runner rounding the first turn. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed apparent abnormalities.

Race 11 - JUSTIN REID GRADE 5 (2) 380m

4 Midnight Image – Bumped with another runner shortly after the start becoming momentarily unbalanced.

5 Isa Belle – Bumped with another runner shortly after the start.

6 Zip And Zoomer – Bumped with another runner shortly after the start becoming momentarily unbalanced.

7 Jax The Hunter – Unable to obtain clear running and was forced to race wide throughout the home straight.

Race 12 - T.G.R.C GRADE 5 (3) 380m

3 Stressful Day – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn.

4 Aston Mateo – Slow to begin. Clipped on the heels by another runner rounding the first turn.

5 Potato Cake – Bumped by another runner and was tightened for racing room shortly after the start and was checked. 

6 Never Cry – Bumped with another runner shortly after the start. Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn.

7 Fat Jack – Bumped with another runner shortly after the start. Crossed and checked by another runner rounding the home turn.
