Race 1 - HICKORY INDUSTRIES MAIDEN (1) 380m

1 Shrimp Boat – Checked off another runner rounding the first turn.

2 Shaq Owes – Bumped with another runner approaching the first turn. Bumped with another runner rounding the home turn.

3 Penny's Lad – Bumped with another runner approaching the first turn.

4 Hard To Style – Raced wide rounding the home turn and throughout the home straight.

6 Rustic Bling – Bumped with another runner rounding the home turn.

7 Skedaddle Locke – Marginally slow to begin.

Race 2 - GREYHOUNDS MAKE GREAT PETS MAIDEN (2) 380m

1 Stolen Gold – Checked off the heels of another runner and shifted wider rounding the first turn, taking another runner outwards. Checked across the heels of another runner rounding the home turn. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr J. Reid regarding the greyhound’s racing performance. After reviewing the available patrol footage and acting on their own observations, Stewards and Mr Reid were in agreeance that the greyhound struggled to race through the first turn and home turn due to interference in the field yet was pursuing the lure throughout the event, subsequently Stewards declined to take any further action.

2 Eris Lucy – Forced wide by another runner on the first turn and was severely inconvenienced. Clipped on the heels by another runner rounding the home turn. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no apparent abnormalities.

3 Mister Rambutan – Very slow to begin.

4 Paul's Lad – Clipped on the heels by another runner in the back straight. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no apparent abnormalities.

5 Aussie Bullseye – Checked across the heels of another runner in the back straight. Clipped on the heels by another runner rounding the first turn.

8 Levi Junior – Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr S. Atkinson regarding the racing manners of Levi Junior, in particular in the home straight where Levi Junior appears to turn its head inward and deviate its attention from the lure, also appearing to ease. After viewing the available patrol footage and acting on their own observations, Stewards determined that the greyhounds’ actions were in contravention of GAR124(1) Failing to Pursue, subsequently Levi Junior was stood down from racing for a period of 28 days and must complete a satisfactory trial prior to any future nominations being accepted.

Race 3 - # JCOOL AIR CONDITIONING NOVICE 380m

1 Secret Hustle – Checked across heels rounding the home turn.

3 Miss Von Strudel – Bumped with another runner shortly after the start.

4 Showtime Hannah – Slow to begin.

5 My Mate Nev – Clipped on the heels by another runner rounding the home turn.

6 Smiling Walnut – Bumped with another runner shortly after the start.

7 Big Ram – Checked off another runner rounding the home turn. Bumped on the hindquarters in the home straight, becoming momentarily unbalanced and losing forward momentum.

8 Clown Of Class – Slow to begin.

Race 4 - MINNIE HEATH MA5 380m

2 Tackleberry – Bumped with another runner in the back straight.  

3 Aston Rupiah – Slow to begin.

5 Steamer Redeemer – Bumped with another runner in the back straight. Tightened for racing room rounding the first turn and was checked losing ground. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no apparent abnormalities.

Race 5 - BURDEKIN VET SERVICE 0-4 WINS 498m

3 On The Fence – Tightened for racing room shortly after the start and was checked.

4 Waikiki Surfer – Checked heavily off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn.

5 She's Our Cruze – Raced wide throughout the back straight.

6 Piper's Band – Checked heavily off another runner rounding the first turn.

7 She's Some Fox – Clipped on the heels by another runner rounding the first turn.

8 Hidden Fury – Marginally slow to begin.

Race 6 - BELFORD KENNELS GRADE 4 380m

1 Starlight Belle – Slow to begin.

5 Blackpool Rex – Tightened for racing room and was checked rounding the first turn.

6 Jax The Hunter – Tightened for racing room and was checked rounding the first turn.

8 Maddie Dutton – Bumped with another runner rounding the home turn becoming momentarily unbalanced.

Race 7 - PUGWASH PAINTING MIXED 3/4 380m

3 Just Too Fancy – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn.

5 More Sensation – Clipped on the heels by another runner rounding the first turn.

7 Balts Orson – Checked off another runner rounding the first turn.

Race 8 - KAREN OLSEN BEST 8 380m

1 Fancy Kelly – Bumped with another runner approaching the first turn. Checked by the fallen runner.

2 Showtime Holly – Bumped with another runner approaching the first turn. Tightened for racing room rounding the first turn and was checked and fell, taking no further competitive part in the event. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed an injury to the nearside foreleg. The on-track veterinarian administered pain relief and applied a RJ bandage. The greyhound will be taken to Burdekin Veterinary Services this afternoon for further treatment and monitoring. Showtime Holly was stood down from racing for a period of 28 days and must complete a satisfactory trial prior to any future nominations being accepted.  This matter will be referred to the Greyhound Injury Review Panel.

3 Gnarley Time – Checked by the fallen runner and fell, taking no further competitive part in the event. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no apparent abnormalities.

4 Jackie Chiles – Bumped between runners shortly after the start.

Race 9 - SHOWTIME LODGE @ CHURCHABLE MIXED 4/5 380m

2 Ryan's Pick – Checked off another runner rounding the first turn and made heavy contact with the running rail. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no apparent abnormalities.

3 Zena Arena – Tightened for racing room rounding the first turn and was checked.

5 Balt's Flying – Checked off another runner rounding the first turn.

6 Showtime Ella – Bumped between runners shortly after the start. Checked across heels rounding the home turn and raced wide throughout the home straight.

7 Polarizer – Clipped on the heels by another runner rounding the home turn.

Race 10 - ALL RIG LIFTING & ENGINEERING GRADE 5 (1) 380m

1 Scott Or Not – Slow to begin.

2 Can't Catch Her – Checked off the heels of another runner approaching the first turn and lost ground.  

3 Fat Jack – Checked off another runner rounding the first turn and lost ground.

4 Santa Maria – Dragged down by another runner approaching the first turn.

6 Shiro Kuma – Slow to begin.

Race 11 - CLEVELAND BAY SEAFOOD GRADE 5 (2) 380m

2 Illegal Tender – Checked off another runner rounding the first turn.

4 Winter Skye – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn.

5 Saruman – Clipped on the heels by another runner rounding the first turn.

6 Patty's Regret – Tightened for racing room and was checked rounding the first turn.
