Race 1 - PETER JEPSON MEDIA SERVICES MAIDEN 380m

1 Hard To Style – Tightened for racing room shortly after the start and was checked losing ground. Improved onto the heels of another runner rounding the first turn and was checked.

2 Mister Rambutan – Slow to begin.

4 Federal Target – Improved onto the heels of another runner approaching the home turn and lost forward momentum. Bumped with another runner at the top of the home straight.

5 Aroona Belle – Clipped on the heels by another runner rounding the first turn and was checked.

9 Ritza Benny (7) – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn and lost ground. Bumped with another runner at the top of the home straight.

Race 2 - SKIPS TRANSPORT NOVICE 380m

1 King Amar – Took an awkward stride at box rise and as a result was slow to begin. Checked off the heels of another runner and shifted wide rounding the home turn.

3 Windale Magician – Tightened for racing room rounding the first turn and was checked losing considerable ground. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination that revealed no apparent abnormalities.

5 Calibration – Tightened for racing room rounding the first turn and was checked losing ground.

7 Boots On – Slow to begin.

9 Big Ram (6) – Bumped by another runner and forced to race wide rounding the home turn.

Race 3 - HUNNY POT NQ GRADE 5 498m

4 Gunnadoo Avenue – Slow to begin. Clipped on the heels by another runner approaching the first turn.

6 Our Watto – Slow to begin. Checked off the heels of another runner approaching the first turn.

7 Run Over Freddy – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the turn off the back straight.

8 Piazza Farnese – Faltered in its action shortly after entering the back straight and failed to complete the race. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination that revealed an injury to the offside hock and was stood down from racing for 28 days. Trainer Ms Rhonda Essery was advised that Piazza Farnese must complete a satisfactory trial prior to racing again. Piazza Farnese will be taken to Burdekin Veterinary Services tomorrow for further assessment and treatment. This matter will be referred to the Greyhound Injury Review Panel.

Race 4 - SHOWTIME LODGE @ CHURCHABLE MIXED 4/5 498m

1 Stressful Hope – Tightened for racing room shortly after entering the back straight and was checked losing ground. Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the turn off the back straight.

2 More Sensation – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the turn off the back straight and lost ground.

3 Polarizer – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the home turn.

4 Jazz Party – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn. Checked off the heels of another runner in the back straight and lost ground.

6 Ryan's Pick – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the turn off the back straight and lost ground.

7 Magic Fever – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the turn off the back straight and lost ground.

Race 5 - TOWNSVILLE YOUNG GUNS HEAT 1 OPEN 498m

1 Hidden Fury – Slow to begin. Bumped by another runner in the home straight.

2 Winlock All Over – Shifted out and bumped with another runner in the home straight.

4 Conor Pass – Tightened for racing room rounding the first turn and was checked losing ground. Checked off the heels of another runner in the back straight.

5 Eyes On Meg – Tightened for racing room rounding the first turn and was checked losing ground.

6 Maddie Dutton – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn and lost ground.

8 Golden Rule – Bumped by another runner and forced to race wide rounding the first turn.

Race 6 - TOWNSVILLE YOUNG GUNS HEAT 2 OPEN 498m

1 Blazing Infrared – Slow to begin. Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn and lost ground.

2 National Swirl – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn and lost ground.

5 Showtime Joe – Tightened for racing room rounding the first turn and was checked.

7 She's Our Cruze – Bumped by another runner rounding the home turn and became momentarily unbalanced.

8 Piper's Band – Shifted out and bumped with another runner rounding the home turn.

9 Hidden Torpedo (4) – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn and lost ground.

Race 7 - TOWNSVILLE YOUNG GUNS HEAT 3 OPEN 498m

1 Good Odds Rascal – Slow to begin. Checked off the heels of another runner leaving the first turn and lost ground.

3 Kiah Beach – Checked off the heels of another runner leaving the first turn and lost ground.

4 Narkunda – Slow to begin.

5 Drop Anchor – Commenced to weaken approaching the home turn losing considerable ground. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination that revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainer Ms Rhonda Essery regarding the racing performance of Drop Anchor. Ms Essery stated that Drop Anchor failed to stay the 498m and was only nominated at that distance due to the Young Guns Heats. Ms Essery also stated that the greyhound will race back at 380m on Saturday at it’s next race start.

6 Special Thunder – Slow to begin.

10 Bella Sensation (8) – Slow to begin. Checked off the heels of another runner leaving the turn into the back straight and lost ground. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination that revealed no apparent abnormalities.

Race 8 - GREYHOUNDS MAKE GREAT PETS BEST 8 380m

2 Mali's Gonzales – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn and lost ground.

5 Free At Night – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn and lost ground. Checked off the heels of another runner approaching the home turn.

6 Balts Obsession – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn and lost ground.

Race 9 - # JCOOL AIR CONDITIONING MIXED 3/4 380m

3 Flash Fever – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn and lost ground.

4 Run Rex Run – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn and lost ground. Proved difficult to box at the start of the race. As Run Rex Run is already Hard to Box, trainer Ms Joan Newnham was advised that handler Miss Charlotte Turner will no longer be permitted to box the greyhound and an alternative handler must be utilised for future race starts.

5 Silent Key – Checked off the heels of another runner shortly after the start.

6 Balts Orson – Slow to begin. Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn and lost ground.

7 Tail's Up – Dragged down by another runner rounding the first turn and was checked.

Race 10 - WEE WIN KENNELS MIXED 4/5 380m

2 Austin Dutton – Slow to begin. Checked across the heels of another runner and raced wide rounding the home turn.

4 Alert – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn and lost ground.

5 Fulton – Tightened for racing room rounding the first turn and was checked losing ground. Bumped with another rounding the home turn becoming momentarily unbalanced.

6 Lady Steps – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn and lost ground.

7 Articuno – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn and lost ground. Bumped with another rounding the home turn becoming momentarily unbalanced.

Race 11 - BURDEKIN VET SERVICE GRADE 5 (1) 380m

4 Aston Rupiah – Tightened for racing room rounding the first turn and fell taking no further competitive part in the race. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination that revealed an injury to the near hindleg and was stood down from racing for 10 days.

5 Aston General – Checked rounding the first turn and lost forward momentum.

6 Amarillo Slim – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn and lost ground.

8 Burn Rate – Slow to begin. Tightened for racing room rounding the first turn and almost fell taking no further competitive part in the race. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination that revealed no apparent abnormalities.

Race 12 - MAGIC CARPET CLEANING GRADE 5 (2) 380m

2 Showtime Bobby – Tightened for racing room shortly after the start and was checked losing ground.

5 Is That You – Checked off the heels of another runner shortly after the start and lost ground.

6 Patty's Regret – Checked off the heels of another runner shortly after the start and lost ground. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination that revealed an injury to the near hind toe and was stood down from racing for 10 days.

8 Can't Catch Her – Checked off the heels of another runner leaving the first turn and lost ground.
