Race 1 - BURDEKIN VET SERVICE MAIDEN HEAT 1 MAIDEN 380m

1 Zipping Boris – Slow to begin. Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn and lost ground.

3 Sunshine Girl – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn and lost ground.

6 Warbel Harry – Slow to begin. Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn and lost ground.

Race 2 - HUNNY POT NQ MAIDEN HEAT 2 MAIDEN 380m

1 Phoenix Luck – Slow to begin. Checked off the heels of another runner shortly after the start. Contacted the inside running rail rounding the first turn. Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the home turn. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination that revealed no apparent abnormalities.

2 Showtime Bart – Slow to begin. Raced wide rounding the first turn.

3 Showtime Homer – Clipped on the heels by another runner rounding the home turn.

8 Ritza Benny – Stewards questioned trainer Mr Jay Schafer regarding the greyhound’s seemingly improved performance. Mr Schafer stated that he thinks Ritza Benny is thriving from being in a smaller kennel after moving kennels last month and having his first run for Mr Schafer tonight. Mr Jay Schafer also stated that he didn’t support his runner in tonight’s race.

Race 3 - CLEVELAND BAY SEAFOOD NOVICE 380m

1 Warbel Tony – Tightened for racing room rounding the first turn and contacted the inside running rail losing ground. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination that revealed no apparent abnormalities.

3 Secret Hustle – Rounding the first turn was severely checked losing considerable ground. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination that revealed no apparent abnormalities.

5 Mister Rambutan – Slow to begin. Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn.

Race 4 - GREYHOUNDS MAKE GREAT PETS GRADE 5 (1) 498m

4 Bobbie Jean – Slow to begin. Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn.

6 Conor Pass – Slow to begin. Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn and lost ground.

7 Aston General – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn. Visibly eased for several strides shortly after entering the back straight and lost considerable ground. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination that revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainer Ms Bobbie-Jean Chaffey regarding Aston General’s racing manners shortly after entering the back straight. After reviewing the footage, Stewards invoked GAR124(1) Failing to Pursue (1^st offence) and Aston General was stood down from racing for 28 days at Townsville and the completion of a satisfactory trial.

Race 5 - TAB GRADE 5 (2) 498m

1 Wild Rumour – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the turn off the back straight.

2 Jazz Party – Slow to begin. Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the home turn and lost ground.

3 Red Buzz – Clipped on the heels by another runner rounding the home turn, shifting outwards becoming momentarily unbalanced.

Race 6 - #JCOOL AIR CONDITIONING GRADE 5 (3) 498m

1 Special Thunder – Very slow to begin.

2 Run Over Freddy – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn and lost ground.

3 Shrouded – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn and lost ground.

6 Ryan's Pick – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn.

Race 7 - PETER JEPSON MEDIA SERVICES MIXED 3/4 498m

1 Going To Town – Checked off the heels of another runner leaving the first turn.

3 Hidden Fury – Slow to begin. Improved onto the heels of another runner at the top of the home straight and was checked losing ground.

4 On The Fence – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn.

8 Miss Verity – Clipped on the heels at the top of the home straight and became momentarily unbalanced.

Race 8 - SKY RACING BEST 8 380m

4 Good Odds Rascal – Slow to begin. Checked off the heels of another runner approaching the home turn.

7 Blazing Infrared – Went up with the lids at the start and as a result was slow to begin.

Race 9 - ALL RIG LIFTING & ENGINEERING GRADE 4 380m

2 Federal Phantom – Checked off the heels of another runner approaching the first turn and lost ground.

4 Free At Night – Checked off the heels of another runner approaching the first turn and lost ground.

5 Billy Buttons – Checked off the heels of another runner shortly after the start and lost ground.

Race 10 - MAGIC CARPET CLEANING MIXED 4/5 380m

3 Amarillo Slim – Slow to begin. Checked off the heels of another runner approaching the home turn.

6 Ebby Von – Checked off the heels of another runner shortly after the start and lost ground. Checked off the heels of another runner approaching the home turn.

9 Baguette (8) – Clipped on the heels by another runner approaching the home turn becoming momentarily unbalanced.

Race 11 - HICKORY INDUSTRIES GRADE 5 (1) 380m

1 Balts Assassin – Slow to begin. Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn and lost considerable ground. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination that revealed no apparent abnormalities.
