Race 1 - BELFORD KENNELS MAIDEN 380m

7 Tommy Balt – Late scratching under the provisions of GAR 86(1) for not being presented. The greyhound has been stood down for 10 days. TAB notified at 6:11pm. Trainer Mr Jay Schafer was fined $200.00 pursuant to GAR 86(3).

Race 2 - LOUNDS SEAFOOD NOVICE 380m

4 Prinny – Checked shortly after the start and lost considerable ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

Race 3 - HUNNY POT NQ MIXED 3/4 380m

No matters of concern to Stewards.

Race 4 - SKIPS TRANSPORT GRADE 4 380m

No matters of concern to Stewards.

Race 5 - BURDEKIN VET SERVICE FFA 498m

5 Alert – Late scratching pursuant to GAR 76(2) due to illness. The greyhound has been stood down for 10 days. TAB notified at 7:06 pm.

6 Ring Me – Checked shortly after entering the back straight. Finished the race in last place. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainer’s representative Mr Brad Belford regarding Ring Me’s seemingly disappointing performance. Mr Belford was at loss to explain tonight’s performance other than the greyhound was having her first run over the track and distance. Mr Belford will report back to Stewards any abnormalities over the next few days.  

Race 6 - ALL RIG LIFTING & ENGINEERING OPEN 643m

6 Hara’s Houdini – Checked and pushed wide on the track rounding the first turn. Finished the race in last place. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have the thumps and was stood down from racing for 10 days.

8 Saint Remi – Checked and pushed wide on the track rounding the first turn. Finished the race in second last place. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

Race 7 - HICKORY INDUSTRIES BEST 8 380m

3 Senor Yogi – Checked rounding the first turn and lost ground. Raced in restricted room approaching the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

Race 8 -TOWNSVILLE WILDCARD FINAL OPEN 498m

5 Redemption Day – Checked rounding the first turn. Checked shortly after entering the back straight and lost ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

Race 9 - GREYHOUNDS MAKE GREAT PETS GRADE 5 (1) 498m

1 Ferocious June – (Beaten favourite) checked rounding the first turn and lost ground.

Race 10 - MAGIC CARPET CLEANING GRADE 5 (2) 498m

4 Red Ricciardo – Severely checked and contacted the outside fence in the back straight losing considerable ground.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the nearside front foot and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 7 days. 

9 Walk On Sunshine – Faltered in its action in the back straight and lost considerable ground, failing to complete the course. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an offside hock injury, under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down from racing for 90 days and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next. This matter will be referred to the Greyhound Injury Review Panel.

Race 11 - TAB GRADE 5 (1) 380m

1 Free At Night – Fell in the catching pen after the race had concluded. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

Race 12 - #JCOOLAIRCONDITIONING GRADE 5 (2) 380m

2 Mister Rambutan – Fell in the catching pen after the race had concluded. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
