Race 1 - JUDY OLSEN TOWNSVILLE MAIDEN 1000 FINAL MAIDEN 380m

 

2 Haytown’s Trio – (Beaten favourite) Held up for clear racing room approaching the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the nearside hamstring and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days.

 

Race 2 - WOOLER RACING & JUDY OLSEN COLOUR RUN FINAL GRADE 5 380m

 

1 Three Tries – (Beaten favourite) Checked rounding the first turn and lost ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow post-race recovery and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 7 days. 

 

Race 3 - PETER GROVES MEMORIAL MAO 380m

Race 4 - BINKS & MARLENE WALKER 4/5 GRADE FINAL MIXED 4/5 380m

Race 5 - T.G.B.O.T.A NORTH QUEENSLAND SPRINT FINAL OPEN 380m

 

6 See Me Balt – Checked off the heels of another runner approaching the first turn and fell, failing to complete the course. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a near foreleg injury and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down from racing for 90 days and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next. This matter will be referred to the Greyhound Injury Review Panel.

 

8 Good Odds Rascal – Slow to begin. Dragged down by another runner rounding the first turn and lost considerable ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the nearside hind toe and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days.

 

Race 6 -  BURDEKIN VET SERVICES TOWNSVILLE CUP (G2) CONSOLATION OPEN 498m

 

2 Hara’s Pandora – (Beaten favourite) Very slow to begin. Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn. Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the turn off the back straight.

 

Race 7 - WEE WIN KENNELS STAYERS CHALLENGE FINAL OPEN 643m

 

4 Hara’s River – Checked off the heels of another runner approaching the first turn and fell, failing to complete the course. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a near foreleg injury and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down from racing for 90 days and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next. This matter will be referred to the Greyhound Injury Review Panel.

 

5 Saint Remi – Checked off the heels of another runner approaching the first turn and fell taking no further completive part in the race. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

 

Race 8 - BURDEKIN VET SERVICES TOWNSVILLE CUP (G2) FINAL OPEN 498m

 

1 More Peaches – A post-race veterinary examination revealed a laceration to the off-hind leg and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 7 days.

 

2 Young Rob – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was passed fit to start.

 

Race 9 - TAB MIXED 4/5 498m

Race 10 - SKY RACING MIXED 4/5 380m

 

4 Sandave Richie – Checked rounding the first turn and lost ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

 

Race 11 - PETER JEPSON MEDIA SERVICES GRADE 5 (1) 380m

Race 12 - BELFORD KENNELS GRADE 5 (2) 380m

 

5 Crackin’ Ethics – Began awkwardly and lost considerable ground, taking no further competitive part in the race. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the off-hind leg and under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days.
