Race 1 - BURDEKIN VET SERVICES MAIDEN 380m

No matters of concern to Stewards.

Race 2 - ETHAN MALONEY NOVICE 380m

6 Hara’s Tricky – Underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the request of the trainer that revealed no apparent abnormalities.

Race 3 - TOWNSVILLE MAIDEN 1000 FINAL MAIDEN 380m

7 Federal Remark – Started at $1.40 as a beaten favourite. Marginally slow to begin. Dragged down by another runner rounding the first turn and lost ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr Brad Belford regarding the greyhound’s seemingly disappointing performance. Mr Belford stated that Federal Remark is still a young dog and was slow to begin in tonight’s race opposed to his first race start where he jumped straight to the front. Shortly after the start Mr Belford and Stewards agreed the greyhound was checked as well as being dragged down around the first turn. Mr Belford also stated that he didn’t support his runner in tonight’s race. Stewards noted the explanation.

Race 4 - ALL RIG LIFTING MIXED 4/5 380m

Race 5 - WOOLER RACING 5TH GRADE HEAT 1 GRADE 5 498m

Race 6 - NQ VAC TRUCKS 5TH GRADE HEAT 2 GRADE 5 498m

2 Starlight Belle – Checked rounding the first turn and lost ground. Checked off heels in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

Race 7 - LOUISE PARTLAND PHOTOGRAPH 5TH GRADE HEAT 3 GRADE 5 498m

4 She’s Some Fox – (Beaten favourite) Checked off heels rounding the first turn and lost ground. Bumped with another runner rounding the home turn becoming momentarily unbalanced.

Race 8 - CAIRNS GREYHOUND OWNERS & TRAINERS FFA 498m

Race 9 - NQ GAME MEATS MIXED 3/4 380m

No matters of concern to Stewards.

Race 10 - POSTMAN'S RIDGE GREYHOUND COMPLEX GRADE 5 (1) 380m

3 Fortune Of War – Checked off heels shortly after the start. Commenced to weaken approaching the home turn and lost considerable ground when appeared to have sustained an injury. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the offside hock and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 60 days and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next. This matter will be referred to the Greyhound Injury Review Panel.

Race 11 - PREH WE WIN KENNELS GRADE 5 (2) 380m

No matters of concern to Stewards.

Race 12 - TOWNSVILLE GBOTA GRADE 5 (3) 380m

6 Dave Ricciardo – Fell after the race had concluded. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
